Is the internet important anymore?

Now before you say hell yeah ask yourself what do i do online thats actually going to help me besides use up alot of time. When the internet first began, it had a purpose exchange information from one person to another. Now look what we use it for, porn, games, bad jokes ,and social networking. HOW THE FUCK IS THAT HELPING US.
Now im not saying that useful things arn't anymore but realy dont we have better things to do than stay on the internet all fucking day.

How does being on a computer or having a hobby involving it or the internet make a person not have a life? Surely if they enjoy it it's all that matters, not having conform to your so called standards of acceptance you simple little boy. The answer? The internet holds more information then any other resource in the world and it's extremely easy to access. The internet is the most efficient, although not the most popular way to share news, and help people keep in contact with others for personal and business matters. Their is so much more that the internet does that actually matters as well.

I'm also pretty sure the government uses the internet for communication hardcore like. I think that's important. I need the Internet to be in the Army too. I have classes i need to take because of the Army and I need to Pass a few courses before I Go to Basic.

Whenever possible, I use the Internet to increase my knowledge of a subject of interest. But that's not often very useful, since most of my "subjects of interest" are Newgrounds-related anymore.

I like to check the weather radar before I go to work sometimes to see if it's going to rain or not, since I am a roofer it's kind of nice to know. I also like to check my bank account with all my sweet moola saved up online. I wish I could say "keep in touch with distant friends" but... yeah it's good for communication as well.
