Hello, what do people think an easy language is to learn? And what sort of things can that language do? At the moment l am learning HTML, CSS and Photoshop (not a language but very helpful in HTML and CSS) and l think l have room for one more language, a small one that is easy, so, any suggestion?

I'd go with JavaScript or XML, probably the latter. Both can easily be used in conjunction with XHTML and CSS. With JavaScript you can add a bit of interactivity to your site. Basic form validation, pop up messages, ajax style navigation, etc. XML on the other hand allows you to create RSS feeds. A simple and growing trend that (if sensible), you should try and include in your website.

Since you are doing web design I would go with JavaScript or PHP.

If you decide to learn Javascript, DO NOT try to use it for things like user accounts, forums, password protection, or anything like that. It's very tempting (I tried to stuff like that when I was learning) but JS is not designed to do that and you will get horrible results. Use PHP instead.

The following sentence is true. The previous sentence is false. O_o PARADOX!

If you're into making websites and stuff, invest some time into learning PHP. It's pretty easy to learn compared to other languages, and is supported by most hosts nowadays. Afterwards you may want to try Perl or Python.

Posted from Linux. Distro may vary.

Why don't you learn how to write in it? That's the best part

Untrue- English is one of the more difficult languages to learn if you are not brought up with it. Even those who are tend to have difficulty mastering it.
