What do I love about Wade Fulp?

He's almost Godlike in his control over NG. Nothing, or almost nothing, happens here that Wade does not perceive. That goes for users' thoughts too: I've never seen him wrong about a user. Sure, when I knew less than I do now, I thought his lenience with some users was a weakness, but I was later precisely the one benefiting from their continued presence on the site. He has a way of being vindicated before all is said and done. He knows when it would be best to keep a user around, when it would be best to lock the account, and when it would be best to rename the user to <deleted>.

And then there's his tolerance. He's willing to tolerate people that I couldn't stand having around. Let me tell you this, if I was running this place, there would be a lot of users and Flash submissions that wouldn't be around, whether due to furry content, or an excessively liberal worldview, or in many users' cases, offensive comments about religious people. Wade allows them to stay around. He even allows racists in here, despite disagreements with them, though they are stripped of use of their favorite word (a wise choice on the part of the Fulp brothers: you can get away with controversy when you're small, but when you get big and mainstream you have to have good PR, and a war with Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson wouldn't be good for business at all). He embodies the tolerant spirit of the modern man, without being culturally destructive.

The best part about Wade is that he's the one that deletes all the child porn from the forums. Someone has to do it, and he rises to the occasion. A truly brave man.
