Newgrounds Bandwith?

Just starting to notice but do you think the sites bandwidth is overloaded? i'm starting to notice slower loading of the bbs and the art portal.

Newgrounds loads at the same speed.

Perhaps it's the ads or the page you were visiting had a lot of pictures?

hmmm i dont know i was trying to read an article on the bbs and it took like 5 min this happens very often.

Since the art-portal poped up I've discovered the opposite, it's faster.

I think you mean bandwidth. And we're only pumping out just over half of what we can at the moment. The problem's probably at your end.

my end was good there were no downloads running at the time

I've also been noticing slower loading recently, I'm also having an awful problem with posting. I'll click submit and it takes a good 20 seconds or so to post, it only happens here on Newgrounds so I'm unsure as whether or not it's at my end: I've tried everything I can think of - clearing cache etc etc - using firefox 3.0.11 on vista. It just started recently :(

I just did some analysis on submitting of that post using firebug and googles page speed tracker and I've found that it takes around 15 seconds for this file to run. It'll send the query, it'll be in a "connection wait" state for around 15 seconds then everything will go through fine.

Maybe if you closed all those porn and PBSKIDS webpages newgrounds would load faster for yah.
