Pixel art - where to draw the line

Title pun aside, I have recently gotten a zero score (courtesy, a noob) on a particular piece of pixel art - and he claims that it's not.

Pixel art - I know the definition, but what do you consider pixel art?

Allright.. Nope.. You are isnt pixel art. It is line tool art.. 0 is harsh.. But it's not worth more than 4-5 anyways.

Ah, well - the Art Forum Lounge is full of random stuff. I'd like to create an organized discussion - plus the fact that the general sub-forum is not meant for art (hence the art sub-forum).

Also, I have provided a link to the actual art piece - isn't that enough?

True, I did use the line tool for certain spots - but the more detailed parts (like the hand and face, guns and embroidery) is per-pixel art.

Isn't the majority of pixel art use the line tool? You know, just saying.

Don't worry about ONE reviewer. Because they could be wrong.

People shouldn't mark stuff down if they think it isn't categorised properly; just report it Inapp. and a mod will shift it, within reason.

I'm ... ok with saying that's pixel art since the palette is small and there's no automatic anti-aliasing. Subject to opinion.

What an idiot to think that.MS Paint can be pixel art.he probably didn't think it was because its 9000 times better than some recoloured Sonic sprite.

This is exactly what the art forum lounge is meant for... discussion. If you want to post pixel art, put it in the pixel thread.
