If I paid you $1000 to become a Jehovah's Witness for a month, would you do it?

Remember this would involve:

1. Door-to-door preaching every other day in a suit regardless of the weather.

2. Attending 2-hour long meetings each on Thursday night and the other in the middle of Sunday.

3. Giving up R-rated movies and violent games and socializing on the computer, meaning you can't go on NG or any other message board. The only thing you can do is chat with other Jehovah's Witnesses.

Dangerous? Sir, you're right. It IS a dangerous thing. How do I know? Because I used to be a Jehovah's Witness. I did the preaching work for a long, long time and quit after I started finding conflicts in their beliefs. There were plenty of people who threatened to have us arrested and call the cops on us, people who wanted to kidnap us themselves, people who threatened to dismantle everything and beat us up.

And how exactly am I being religiously intolerant? All I did here was ask a question to the community if they would do something like this for a month, even if they didn't mean it. Am I bashing a religion here? No, I only state fact, and I know it's fact because I was a JW for a long time like I stated before.

Maybe you can learn to intelligently type before going around, accusing people of intolerance upon false grounds.

Yes, it is a Christian denomination and Jehovah's Witnesses believe that after the current world order is destroyed, righteous survivors and resurrected dead individuals will have the opportunity to live forever on a paradisaical earth, ruled by Christ and 144,000 people raised to heaven.

The kind of Christianity I believe in is that the rapture will bring up every Christian will be pulled up into Heaven and after the whole ordeal with the Antichrist, Jesus will judge the living and the dead and rule this world for 1,000 years.

As for other things, you can be part of the military for defense because every nation has a right to defend themselves, we can have blood transfusions, we believe in a Hell, immortality of the soul, celebration of Christmas and Easter whereas Jehovah's witnesses do not.

I do not like to choose which denomination of Christianity I believe in, I just consider myself simply a Christian with protestant and catholic influences.
