I'm thinking of a light tan / beige, with primarily red for the patterns. You may want to outline with pen for cleaner quality and boldness, or erase some of the pencil work for cleaner lines before applying color.

Also, please refrain from making multiple threads if they are about the same works. You should post this picture and question under your t-shirt thread.
