3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsI just finished linearting an illustration piece. Before I start coloring it, I want a few critiques first. Other than completely coloring it and cleaning up the sketch lines everywhere, does the image look somewhat awkward or skewed? Worked without references or observation so does anyone have any advice for me?
Biggest distraction is the face on the lower left. It's probably just some gesture sketching going on there, but other than that, I don't see that many problems. Of course that will probably change after you work on it some more.

The two masked faces look jumbled, be sure to use contrasting light and color to better define their faces

Thanks for the advice. Haha now that I look at it, the lower left guy's mask is way too small and his neck is too long. Hopefully when I color it, the contrast will increase because I'm going to try working with a full black background.

good sharp lines and contrast on the outline. the image doesn't appear skewed to me, and i think it will be easier to see that one clean up is done. i think it may be better to leave their faces mostly hidden, with just added definition on the neck area. if you plan to add color, i think a dark color scheme would work best. grays and browns mostly
