I enjoy stand up. Although I know only a handful of comedians. I'm really into Louis CK, his style interests me. Can anybody recommend me a funny comedian?

George Carlin and Richard Pryor, to start with, obviously.

He's very generic as a satirist and his shows rips entirely off of The Soup.

I saw only one of his routines. His Comedy Central Presents one. To be 100% honest, I didn't really find him funny.

Are you willing to watch some British stand up?

There is plenty of British comedians nowadays. I suggest a newcomer called Michael Mcintyre.

Not to sound ignorant or anything, but I just can not watch British stand up. I just strongly dislike it.

I watched some American comedian on the Montreal comedy festival and he had the audience just laughing like idiots at jokes like this

"YALL EVER HAVE ONE OF THOSE FRIENDS...WHO SHAKES HIS HEAD WHEN HE TALKS!!?"

Urgh

But yeah, Bill Hicks and Mitch Hedberg for the absolute win.

Bill Bailey, Dylan Morran, Lee Evans and Peter Kay are four of my favorite mainstream comedians. For someone a little less known check out Simon Bird's small amount of work. I really like his style.

The most unfortunate and embarrassing thing about being an American is that our number 1 comedian is a shitty, hack comedian from the 80s who pretends to be a fat redneck with jokes written by 4 year old girls.

Kat Williams is a joke into and of himself. He's as much of a pimp as Larry is a cableguy.

You know who's a really BAD comedian? Every single one of them who talk about how they're some sort of minority and want to share their life's stories and struggles with you.

I'm look at you, ANT!

George Carlin - his most iconic work, the seven words

Jim Gaffigan- talks about food most of the time, this is his bit on Hot Pockets, always a classic.

Mitch Hedberg - Small jokes that have a really clever punchline, this is a 5 minute special.

Jim Jeffries is funny if you like really raunchy humour; he also has some extremely funny but true rants about religion.
