We've been watching the Art Portal and making changes to fine-tune it. Please note that works in progress and pencil sketches should only be showcased on your user page and not included in the public Art Portal listing. You also now need at least four submissions before you are eligible for scouting and approved artists can only scout two users per day at the moment, so use those scouts wisely!

The Power of Three summer event is ongoing and there are some amazing games in the works! HappyHarry and Egoraptor have been at the office this past week working on art for their games. Afro-Ninja was here for a few days developing the engine for his game with Ego. The-Swain was here as well, fleshing out plans with PsychoGoldfish and Liljim, also visiting this week. I'll be emailing all the teams when we're ready to take the next big step forward. For now, keep plugging away so you have the potential for some good teaser screenshots!

Yeah I watched a video about that town. It's supposed to be deserted because there is some kind of heat is heating up something (coal I believe.) which causes these gases to come out of the ground. Oh I did not know that the female users were that low only Female: 4.1%! and no older users were featured what a shame. I did do the survey shame about the lack of females being so low. I know this is mostly male but still its a bit of a shock about the lack of us females. I did not lie I really have my age 26! and female! yes rare on here I know. I wish the gap was not so high.

Now this did surprise me I guessed the it would have been mostly under 16 but the most was 18-24 was 38.7% surprising and interesting.

i think that even without Natal XBOX 360 tops the wii. i will literally never understand how it beat xbox. i personally think those systems won just becuz they're cheaper. becuz the people going for wii have apparently never played XBOX 360 XD i have both and its literally no competition. in fact a good example is Ghostbusters. my little cousin got it for his Wii and so i played it b4 decicing whether to get it for Wii or XBOX 360 and even the graphics for the wii literally depicted the characters as cartoons. the 360 version i bought was SPECTACULAR and in comparison to the wii it was one of the best games id ever played. The majority of ppl votingg were over 18 tho so as i said ill still never understand how wii beat xbox when wii is clearly a less mature console than the xbox.

I read this, only further realizing how few gamers are actually aware of how well nintendo is doing in terms of product sales. The Wii just happens to have a lot more casual gamers with a lot more casual games. Of course, going with this survey, it doesn't really say how many of us own multiple systems.

On the handheld side, the PSP is the most successful non-Nintendo handheld. Game Boys and DS's will most likely hold their own for a long time to come.

If you paid attention, few people own a PS3. This doesn't necessarily mean a lot, but these statistics seem to reflect off of actual product sales. There's the few of us who bought it for a cheap blu-ray player at the time, and there's those of us who were fans of the PS2, the most successful game console. You could also look at the system when compared to the 360 for having more processing power. Sales still aren't strong enough for people to take Nintendo's sales nonchalantly. They targeted a wider audience, and an audience with a large majority. Despite what "cool" games and features the 360 and PS3 has, nintendo's just making bank.

As for the male/female ratio, I think that that was a little more obvious. That's roughly one in twenty-five people on newgrounds. The thing about the survey is that it only applies to those who actually took the survey, not necessarily those who go on here. Heck, being summer time, some of you could be on vacation or passed the survey up for some generic myspace survey or facebook application (involving surveys and quizzes >.>).

I never heard of this survey, but I just took it, btw I do have castle crashers and i think its the only xbox 360arcade game worth buying. I have gotten like 5 or 6 other friends to buy it too. Does anyone else play this game I would happily add you so we can beat the game together.
