The Real Silent Hill Meetup is happening today and tomorrow! If you live near Centralia, PA, you can come visit a town with an ever-burning mine fire and hang out with a bunch of local NG folks.

We've been watching the Art Portal and making changes to fine-tune it. Please note that works in progress and pencil sketches should only be showcased on your user page and not included in the public Art Portal listing. You also now need at least four submissions before you are eligible for scouting and approved artists can only scout two users per day at the moment, so use those scouts wisely!

The Power of Three summer event is ongoing and there are some amazing games in the works! HappyHarry and Egoraptor have been at the office this past week working on art for their games. Afro-Ninja was here for a few days developing the engine for his game with Ego. The-Swain was here as well, fleshing out plans with PsychoGoldfish and Liljim, also visiting this week. I'll be emailing all the teams when we're ready to take the next big step forward. For now, keep plugging away so you have the potential for some good teaser screenshots!

Over 8,500 people filled out the survey!

Here are some glimpses of data from the people who answered:

Male: 95.9%
Female: 4.1%

Age

Under 16: 28.8%
16-17: 26.8%
18-24: 38.7%

Game Consoles

Xbox 360: 45.6%
PS3: 21.1%
Wii: 50.5%
DS: 60.5%
PSP: 32.2%

Yeah, with Project Natal coming soon, I'd think that the 360 would be higher then the Wii.

Not only does that 4.1% represent the amount of females visiting the site but also the chance most Newgrounders have with women period.

i doubt the under 16 yrs percentage is that low for newgrounds, but this survey only reflects the hardcore users of newgrounds who actually have the motivation to fill out surveys. regardless, i'm sure the gender ratio is totally off. there's no way that there are 4% females on newgrounds. COME ON. THAT MANY??

im not 16 yet its just in a month so i just put in 16+ as there is no point in putting 15 in when ur not 15 for much longer and wow the ration for the girls thats low
