I know that NewGrounds is not a friendly as DeviantART, but would someone please help me make a Rocket Dock docklet? I just need the basic steps.

Well, by 'docklet' I assume you mean an application/addon button for Rocket Dock. If so, you're going to need to be more specific. Also, you can find lots of nice docklets here if you're interested. Also also, doesn't the Rocket Dock help file tell you how to create docklets?

Well, no. It's not as friendly. People are jerks here and they only think LIKE newgrounds, not like someone ON newgrounds.

I just want to have a basic scripting tutorial, is that too much to ask for? No the docs. don't say how.

I'm trying to make a new stack docklet since the other doesn't work too well.

Dude, only 20% of the people around here are likely to be very sarcastic with you, and even then only if you bring it on yourself. Just ask for help nicely and if someone can help you, they'll help you. Two of your three newsposts were efforts to be nice AND helpful to your fellow NGers, so... don't give up so easily because of a few people who'd rather have some fun at your expense than return the favour, yanno?

OP, fuck what other people think; if you want to say something or whatever, do so without anyone influencing your decision.

Also, keep in mind that if someone is pissing the fuck out of you, you have the power to BAN them from your user page. You can also delete their comments too.

When I first came to the BBS, I met a lot of assholes and got trashed at and shit. Then a HUGE trial and error process began where I posted some stuff and waited for other people's reactions. After realizing how people would react to certain posts, I changed my posting habits so that I don't have to put up with bullshit.

Hey, getting flamed by assholes isn't fun, but if you can, PM a mod reporting that asshole and that mod will very likely ban him/her. Flaming causes trolls (fights) which is prohibited by the BBS rules.

Trial and error is your best friend. Once you know how the regulars act, you can slowly mingle with them without bullshit spat at your face. Once in a while, you will get flamed, but it's easy to handle the situation.

NG by first impression is overrun by a bunch of assholes, but you have to dig deeper in order to know how helpful and nice users are (depending on the situation). Also, unless you're answering someone's question, do not state out facts like you did in your first news post (like "go to the FAQ for information on how the site runs") because most of the time, nearly every one knows that and expect bullshit from users.

skylerskinner, I found your question on Yahoo! Answers here, and I'm wondering what type of docklet exactly you want, and why you're so desperate ("I don't care how hard or expensive it is, I just need to know.") to get it. Also, you ask for a scripting tutorial. I don't think anyone will walk you through the process. You could try contacting someone who already makes docklets (list of docklets here, with authors. Some have contact details, I think). Other than that, I don't think I can help you.
