Creating an FPS

Well guys, today I began working on an FPS, it is not in flash, it is a real game.
It is so far based on WW2, I have completed the first level, it is 100% done, but I might add some other sounds in there and what-not.
I am almost done with the second level as I type this.
I am planning on having 50 levels in the game, and I will be selling it for $10 each copy.
Hopefully I can sell it online somewhere and make some money off of it, I have no screenshots, videos, or demos at this moment, but I will eventually.

As of right now I have no pictures or demos, once I complete the creation of a few more levels, I will for sure get you guys some screen shots from in game.

The graphics aren't looking too great on my brother's computer, which is the one I am using to create it, as mine sucks. They use DirectX 10, or something, which is the best you can get right now, so I am blaming his graphics card.

The program I am using is called something like FPS Creator blah blah blah, I can't remember right now. Cost us about 90 dollars to buy.

Yeah I looked up the engine and there's some good shots, but graphics depend a lot on the computer and what the artist can do with it.

The outdoors scenes on the site looked pretty good, is your game going to have any outdoor scenes or is it mostly indoor?

I know isn't it great. Ive never seen WII done before. Ive only seen the american revolution, the war of 1812, and WWI games. But NEVER have I seen WII games before.

Oh and no matter what engine you're using DONT TRY TO OVERDO IT! If its your first try it dosent have to look photo realistic.

Good luck with that. Although If you are using FPS Creator be sure to purchase the expansions or your game will be lacking a lot of quality and originality. Also try to steer away from the W.W.II cliche, it gets old.

Will you be posting demos anytime soon, I'd love to see it so far.

I suggest your first game to be like 5 bucks. 10 bucks and not a lot of people will buy it since it's not a well known game and such.

And you're going to charge $10.00 for a game made in FPSC? Lol. I had a row with FPSC before - unless you have all the packs or the ability to make your own models and weapons, you're going to have a hard time standing out from a generic "Here's a gun, get to the end and shoot these guys" game. I suggest you start with 5, maybe even three bucks as the cost, just to see where it goes. If it catches on well then great, upgrade it to be kickass and boost the price, but no one will pay 10 bucks for an fps that just killing when they have stuff like Turok emulators and Halo computer games.

Regardless though I wish you luck. But I still advise investing in a 3d modeling program so that you can modify your sprites and give the game some aspects that another random person with FPSC can't.

It's worth trying. In any case, even if it doesn't sell, it's a good thing to put on a resume when applying to a vidja games company.
