High Voltage Software were trying to get rid of friend codes, but in the end Nintendo didn't let them. The only games that don't have friend codes are the ones made by EA, but that's only because EA runs the games on their own server.
Yeah. Atleast, you don't need to have the wii friend codes, just the in game codes. It's easier than the current system, but is still annoying. The thing is, the name you put in your profile is the one you use online. It's really annoying to see 5 different people named "Mr. Ford", because they couldn't be arsed to change the username at the beginning.
