Here is a shot I took of the users online minutes after the redesign launch. It's not over 700, but it reached that later. The amount of users logged on in the picture was at the time the record.
I love pictures like that because I'm a Newgrounds nerd. You can see who's still around (a surpising number, including myself as Scarab-Stalk33r) and who's left completely, who's been demodded, etc. I'm not sure how there are vagrants on that page, but maybe that was something that was changed a little later after the redesign happened. It's a shame no affiliates were on, because then we could've had all of the colours! People used to go... erm, crazy over that pre-redesign. I'm sure one was on later that night anyway.
It was a memorable night for a few reasons, including the fact I'm a Newgrounds nerd as I said before. Newgrounds was very slow as someone already said, and because of the various bugs with the new features, approximately 485,282 threads were made on the topic. Eventually a blog was made on Bob's page for that. I remember talking to Jake shortly after, and he said it was still slow for him a few days later unfortunately.
The PalTalk room also had more people in it than it had ever had before. It's probably still a "record" today, considering its popularity has waned. At one point, it had more people in it than the Opie and Anthony Fan Room I believe. Of course, this was partially due to Wade making a bulletin on MySpace telling everyone to come on if they wanted some place to chat. It was a fun day.
I watched Godfather Part II as well that evening :)
