It's like Netflix, but with video games. You pay a monthly fee and they send you the video games you requested through the mail.

I had a free trial, and I have to admit it was a damned nice service. The games get there quick, and they were all in good, playable condition. If I had the money to subcribe I definately would. The only thing is that the games come in a paper disk holder, and you have to be sure it doesn't rip or anything.

It's alright for what it is, I suppose. The games on it run pretty well, and there are some classics there that are must plays. But I've only used the free Mac version, and it is severely limited in what you can get for it.

Besides all that, it's a good free program, but you might get bored of it quick.

Disregard all that, I'd thought you said GameTap...

Now GameFly, that's a good service. I have the luck of being near the Tampa, Florida warehouse, so sometimes, the games come to me the day after I send back my last one. The only real problems with the service is that they don't have PC games (for good reason, though), and that you have to pay a lot more to check out multiple games at once.

i looked at some of the choices, and for 15 bucks a month, it sure is worth the price, especially since i get bored of a certain game after a couple days.

I only wind up buying a new game every 1-2 months, and I like actually owning my games, so I probably would never use it. It works great with Netflix, where you watch most movies once or twice and you're done, but for games I like being able to pop in Bioshock/God of War/Ratchet and Clank when I feel like it, not 2-3 days after ordering it.

for christs sake dont do it! i did and it sucked. it took at least for days for them to get a game, and nearly a week to get a new one! and this is eating into your time, so your really paying 15 bucks for about a week depending on if you like the game or not. you're better off trading with a friend or going to gamestop and getting a membership. it is not worth it. gamefly sucks!

Rattle your head. Listen to my music.

From what I've heard from other people, your experience with gamefly will hinge a lot on your location. If you're near a distribution center, you'll get things quick. Otherwise, you might be left waiting awhile. I've been told the Midwest is the worst region to live in in that regard.

They also have supply problems. Supposedly, if you just keep one or two games in your queue, they'll be forced to send you those. If you compile a list of 20 games, they'll send you all the old ones and you won't ever get a new release.

Take a free trial and see how it goes.

For the people saying it takes to long; mail only runs once a day.

1st day, the mailman picks it up.
2nd day, they drive it to where ever.
3rd day, the good people at GameFly get it, then process it.
4th day, they ship the next game.

But, now they set up a thing with the USPS. The USPS scans it when they pick it up, letting GameFly know to send a new game.

Shoot me a PM.

I have it and you just pay each month and can have any game for as long as you want. Just return them when you feel like it.

I have one godly sig.
