The system makes no sense to me what so ever. About 1 week ago my car got stolen from my yard. I forgot my lunch in the house and when I come back out my car is gone. I contacted the police that day and they said they will look into it. Then today I get a ticket in the mail have to pay for a speeding ticket! I called a few places and even though my car was not in my care I still got to pay for it. So here I am paying for some stupid ticket when the thief could be getting me more tickets. This legal system is shit!
Send me random shit.

How did they steal your car that fast without you noticing?
Did your house get built to be utterly soundproof and with no windows?

fight the ticket, and if you have to pay sue the person who stole your care for the ticket
keep all documents especially showing the damage done to you financially, directly and indirectly
you could get some cash from this

Like Jon said I left my keys in my car. My lunch was in my basement, and my car is a very quiet car as well.

Lol if you reported your car stolen and they pulled it over for speeding... The driver should have been arrested.
If I were you I would tear that ticket up and tell them to learn to do their fucking jobs.
I'm going to fucking rape this guy.

Dumb. You get your car stolen, one kick in the teeth, and you get a speeding ticket out of the blue, a second kick in the teeth. Next minute you'll be done for robbery.

If you leave your keys in your car and leave it unattended, you are asking for trouble, would it have really killed you to turn the car off?

well seeing as they deal with thousands of cases every day I doubt they can make way for dumb ass people like you who decide to leave their car keys in the ignition when there are mass murderers and terrorists out there.
but you never know, one day, someone might get shot and there will be no cops around because they're all looking for your shit heap of a car.

Yeah, for real. I don't really understand how this managed to happen either. Why would they immediately mail you a ticket? Assume they did issue it to the speeding thief; you can be assured that he laughed and threw it out the window... how does it get back to you so quickly? It would make more sense if it was a ticket YOU earned from a long time ago or something.
Something doesn't add up here. I doubt the system is flawed - it's either you or someone in the system.

do you not have speed cameras over there?

I guess not! I've just never heard of anyone receiving a speeding ticket in the mail.
Even so, the camera would have a timestamp, and if that was a time after the car was reported stolen I really can't see why an appeal would not go through.

If you got the ticket after you reported it stolen you can fight that and win in court.

Though we do have signs on some highways that say "Aircraft patrolled." Which may or may not be a scare tactic.

No that isn't a scare tactic we have one of those on the 401 (highway from Toronto to Montreal), they're a real bitch too because the officer that tags you is not the same officer that gives you the ticket, so he can't lower it or even let you off with a warning.

I say bullshit. When they pull you over, dont they check the license number and see who the car is owned too. If you reported it stolen and it was in there system, they would have arrested the person and give you your car back. I dont see how they send it too you.
