I must admit, being a fan of Burton's groovy work, I've obviously been looking forward to this since I first caught wind of it last year.
However, after seeing these pictures, I'm second guessing whether this will be worth my hard-earned $7.50 or not. It just seems as though Burton smoked too much crack this time around, and his normal "fresh visions" have come out a bit too... laughable.
What do you guise think?!
domestic violence can be funny too!
It does look a little bizarre even by Burton's standard. I'm still looking forward to it though.
*Sshhh... I'm an NSA spy bot
Would you fuck me?
I'd fuck me.
Is Tim Burton the guy that made "The Nightmare Before Christmas?"
You guys are all real swell.
I've seen loads of interpretations of the book through numerous films, and really, you should just read the book.

Svankmajers still done the weirdest Alice I think, but uhh, I thought burtons would look like you know, nightmare and corpse bride, because he sucks like that, but uhh this looks really really good to me, I wont see it in the theatre, but when it comes out on dvd, I'll watch it
It looks twisted. I must see it.

Yeah, i'm not going.
yeah I'm a little sick of burtons love affair with depp, I think Him, Depp, And hunter s thompson used to all have sex with eachother, and now, they're permanently up eachothers asses, until they die, lol [ 1 down, score ]

Was Svankmajers that whacked out Russian take on AiW? If so, Jesus Christ you're right; I remember watching that years ago.
And yeah, it seems that after the whole Corpse Bride / Charlie and the Chocolate Factory saga, Burton's just getting stale now. I'll pick it up from Blockbuster if I'm ever bored, though. But probably not.

no shit
He's trying to do an original take on an already done to death movie, and in the process it came out looking just plain stupid.
Try again.
...or don't.
Derp.
MATT LUCAS? I'm there to see this train wreck!
I like the quality of those pictures, but then again the movie is probably going to be bad.
Unless it's very, very, very dark.
But too much colour in those pictures. Makes me think it's not going to be dark enough to make it good.

Yes, it's an amazing movie :D

Actually he didn't make it. It was based on his story and characters, but Henry Selick directed it.
I still have mixed feelings about it.. I just have this gut feeling that it might be just visual sex and nothing else.
I've stopped becoming a fan of Tim Burton films a long time ago, due to the fact that he hasnt made an original film for a long time. Just wish he'd get back to making his own stories and films because they would be so much more awesome.
It pretty much looks like an extreme version of what everyones interpretation of Wondeland would look like. Colorful, bizarre and over the top.
As to whether or not the film will be any good because of it, I haven't a clue.

I know, his earlier movies were amazing, i don't care what anyone says.
Tim Burton also made 9 (acutally he saw a college kids short movie and loved it, so he made it a movie), Corpse Bride, Big Fish (Wasnt an animated movie), Beetlejuice, planet of the apes, Charlie and the chocolate factory, sweeny todd, and a few others.
Basically, hes good at making fucked up stuff thats actually pretty cool.
Do you have so much freetime that your reading some kids signature?
Looks good but if i see it in cinema I'm afraid I'd drown in the tide of emos and scene kids who'd be there hanging on their favourite directors words.

For what it's worth, he didn't direct it; rather, he just threw all his money at it and let some other loser with an equal number of Hot Topic points do the directing.
I used to really love Tim Burton. The first two Batman movies, Beetlejuice, Big Fish.. those are all really great movies. Unfortunately, when he butchered Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and completely ruined Sweeney Todd, I had to draw the line. Yeah, he has a neat eye for detail, but when it comes to directing the actors he is a total hack.

No. Henry Selick directed it.
Tim was one of the writers.
Henry also directed Coraline mofos.

I loved the modern version of Charlie, all except for the goody-goody Charlie himself.
And... my acquaintances in theatre class liked Sweeney Todd.
And now I know that Tim Burton didn't direct the Nightmare before Christmas, and I'm sad.
Life is a performance, and the world is full of critics. Give it your all like it's your last show.
You don't even want to know
I think the shit looks dope as fuckkk.
Johnny Depp is in it.
That, in itself, is worth your hard earned $7.50
Johnny Depp is such a good actor, it's a shame that he's only good in his non-Burton films. Watch the highlight "The Ballad of Sweeney Todd" with George Hearn and Angela Lansbury and I swear you'll never go back.

I'm sorry, but this is just creepy looking. No offense to any fans of this guys work, but dammit he;s just.. Did something wrong.
This Is A Signature.
It looks great to me, like a mushroom trip. It's a must watch.
I protest to see this shit, man. They've turned an awesome movie to trip to into some fucking dark and scary bullshit that doesn't even pertain to the story.
Not only that, but this asshole has ripped off Psychedelics for a while now.
The Trial = This is Halloween style.
This = Jefferson Airplane
Willy Wonka = The original one that kicked ass.
What a shame, Mister Jensen.
I never asked for this, Mister Denton.

Listen to this and then tell me that it is psychedelic.
If any of you are going to actually trip, then when you get a Bad Trip, don't cry about it.

i am not gonna watch it
too much CGI for me
