Okay, so we all know that ever since the dawn of home gaming, game developers have been milking the fuck out of World War II to the point where the franchise has lasted longer than the war itself, and every kid over the age of ten that has ever picked up a copy of Medal of Honor or Call of Duty is a self proclaimed expert in World War II history.
As you can see, there are loads of World War II games to choose from. Some are full of generic bullshit, others are incredibly good. But what, in your opinion, or as a pseudo-fact is the best World War II title?
Mine goes to Day of Defeat: Source. It quite realistic compared to other titles, requires a decent level of team work to progress, has quite a big learning curve, but above is simply fun. It is a perfect example courtesy of Valve of how to make an FPS. Although it lacks a single player mode (because a touch of bot AI is too much to handle unlike in CS:S) or campaign for that matter, the multiplayer is immensely fun, and contains brilliant maps that won't get boring after the seventy billionth play through.
However, this is just an opinion. Although I've yet to encounter it, there is probably a group of people who consider Day of Defeat a pile of shit that should be deleted off everyone's Steam (probably for taking too much skill). And there are plenty of other franchises to choose from such as Medal of Honor, Red Orchestra, Call of Duty (dare I say the earlier titles by far in comparison to World At War) as well as other games who's names escape me presently.
TL;DR - What is your favourite World War II video game (if any) and why?
