There are two groups - people who live online, and people who are outgoing and only occasionally use the Internet. I am somewhat between those two groups. However I noticed that the second group is remarkably less intelligent than the first group, why is that?

If you're between those two groups that means there are three groups.

That means there are [at least] 3 groups then, not 2.

I don't see a difference in intelligence between my living online friends and my outgoing friends.

I hate people who spell Lynard Skynard wrong.

There's an infinite number of groups.

Quad Core Q6600 Intel overclocked to 3.2 Ghz || 4GB G.Skill DDR2 RAM || ATI Radeon HD4850 512MB || Gigabyte P45 mobo || Dual monitor 1680x1050 and 1920x1080 || A FUCKING MOUSE

It's called casuals. There are casuals for music, video games, you name it, but they are all equally ignorant, satisfied with crap, and annoying.

How is it fair then, that those 'casuals' are enjoying life the most?

But not all-encompassing bliss, right? That phrase refers to how being ignorant of something means less worries on the mind, not to being on the top of the social pyramid and making the most out of every single day.

Most people on the internet (like us...) are nerds.

However, I want to disagree but can't, with the other group being less intelligent. I know a group of people who go on [stupid] places like YouTube and like nowhere else... There's one girl in that group who can't link two things together. She tried to link things together once by looking at what everyone else was doing... She failed at that too...

Everyone else in said group is basically the same, but this person was the extreme version.

There are some people who I know who are still quite intelligent, and they don't go anywhere near the internet. Maybe it is all the reading they do (books etc...). Perhaps since we are on the web, we do a lot of reading, and that helps to gather knowledge.

woah. stop right there.

Nerd is a term often bearing a derogatory connotation or stereotype, that refers to a person who passionately pursues intellectual activities, esoteric knowledge, or other obscure interests rather than engaging in more social or popular activities. Therefore, a nerd is often excluded from physical activity and considered a loner by peers or will tend to associate with like-minded people.

Newgrounds is not an intellectual activity!

General isn't. But forums like politics and programming have lots of intellectuals if you bother to look.
