Transparent backgrounds...

Ok i have a picture i want for my personal photo to show up on comments and all that other jazzimadooda...
So i opened the pic in paint saved it as .gif like NG wants and when i tried to open the pic into NG and set it as my personal photo a message popped up saying "Error- Gif's with trasparent backgrounds are not aloud on this site." i would really appreciate it if somone could help me it would mean alot...
I need to know what they mean by Transparent backround and how i can fix it

Well, there is no way whatsoever to post an image as your profile pic if it has a clear background, you could simply make the background the same color as NewGrounds, though.

Go into photoshop (assuming you have it) save the image as a .gif, then it will ask if you want it transparent, click the box so it isn't check marked.

This online tool is pretty good at getting rid of transparent backgrounds. Just select the file you want to remove the transparency from, select the type of file you want it to be (it's set to .gif automatically), and hit the 'convert' button.

The resultant image should not have a transparent background. ^___^

copy ya picture, just open MS paint, hit ctrl a, and then grab the bottom right corner, drag it all the way up to the top left corner, so the blue points touch.....then hit ctrl v

boom, ya done [i always thought this was a very dumb, pointless process...]

no i couldn't figure it out for awhile either, just make the white dissapear, and paste it, lol, its easy but,...hard to determine in the first place [mostly because why the FUCK would you have to do that, lol]

but dont expect help from newgrounds, lol, they're fucking assholes, and when they know something they wont tell you, because they think theyre better than you somehow, its kinda like when you get a job, and people that have been working there 20 years act like theyre the shit because they can take apart a coffee machine and you cant

This problem has been solved, so no more replies are needed. If the OP still failed to get their icon to load, they can PM me their image, hosted on a site like Spam The Web and I will fix it for them.
