Prom Nights.

My school prom is just a week away, and I was wondering who is off to their school prom and if they're ready for it yet... so, are you? If you've already left your school, then tell us how your prom went, etc etc.

I've got my suit sorted out (bought it about a month ago), and I've even got a limo which me and a couple of my mates are off in - it has free drinks and chocolate, so that's gonna be pretty cool, too. The only thing I need to sort out is my dinner for that evening which I need to do before Tuesday... hopefully I'll get it done tomorrow morning - I doubt I'll forget as I've been reminding myself each day to sort it on Monday morning.

I'm not bothering with a date since women take proms seriously so - as I stated earlier - I'm just off with my mates in a huge group. I'm also taking a camera to get some photos of the night. I'm actually a bit excited as it sounds like it's going to be an awesome night.

Which of you kids are getting ready for your proms? If you're not getting ready for it, why aren't you going? If you've already been to one, what was your experience? etc, etc: anything prom themed.

I skipped out on my prom because it was very over priced. If it's just me and my fellow 13-14 year olds eating all the food and occupying the seats, why should I pay 50 bucks? It was fairly dumb and gave me yet another reason to stay home.

We don't have proms in my coutnry the way you silly Americans do. Ours was nothing fancy and I'm glad I didn't go and spend all that money. Instead, I celebrated with friends and lots of liquor whilst strolling off multiple parties.

Lol, I'm english, but I guess we're still just as bad. I'm sure our prom won't be anything too over-the-top, but it may be a fun night. Although, a booze-filled night with your friends that wouldn't cost as much also sounds like it'd be a blast.

Your mind may change the closer you get to the night - I originally wasn't going to go! I then realised that it's one of the final nights I'll be able to have with some of my friends, and every second counts with them, so that's a main reason why I'm going. You may think the same or you may not. If you don't, ruin the night by turning up drunk.

Mine was a year ago. I did as you did, stayed with friends. I didn't even invite any girl, because I didn't want to spend the night with some girl I'm not interested in. It was cool being in nice suits and eating like pigs, talking loudly, flipping the bird and rolling in the grass. All things I wouldn't have done if I was with a girl.

There was an after-prom which I didn't attend, because from what I heard it was going to be really messed up (a lot of people, all extremely drunk, stoned or drugged with other substances, also probable drunk sex on the grass).

We dont have "Proms" in my country but we had an graduation party. I didnt go it was on the release date of some game cant remember wich :p. But i got shit hammered the next day with some random people.

Exactly why I'm going with a group of friends! Most girls tend to take the prom too seriously - having a little bit of fun will ruin it; let's be honest though: it may just be the last time you could see some of your friends - might as well have a laugh with them while you still can, right?

I didn't go to my year eleven prom because I'm a fucking loser. I'll be going to the year thirteen one in two weeks time and I already know I'm going to hate it.

sup bro, my prom was on wednesday, and it went fine. I didnt organize shit until the last week, but i managed to find a way to get wasted. Dont be nervous about it or anything, its not as great as the movies make it out to be- mine was pretty lame- but make sure you have a BAMF afterparty to go to, i stayed in a hotel in time square with about 25 people and got shitfaced. That was fun.

Road head on the way to after prom was a blast. That's just one of the few benefits of going to prom with a date.
