3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsHello,
I've been a vocalist for some odd years now. I mix and master most of all my stuff. I just never got into creating the instrumentals. So I'm using Adobe Audition right now. Are there any suggestions to where I should start? Because I really don't know. Thanks in advance!
Logic, fl studio....
Logic, because it's great with audio and vocal mastering and has 10000+ instruments in the 200 dollar express version alone.
FL Studio is more Noob-Friendly, I use FL Studio and its very nice, Its not the greatest thing for mastering music but you can create very powerfull music with FL, I going to tryi Logic soon and other programs and see how they are.
Logic if you have a mac, FL or Cubase if you have a PC. It's as easy as that.

Mac is Cubase, Logic, or Digital Performer. And DP is one of those things I've been considering switching too. Workflow is supposed to be really nice.
You'e all offering programs, but it's not as easy as just sitting down and making a masterpiece straight away.
I suggest you listen to alot of whatever genre you want to produce, download a demo of any producing program or programs, find the one which suits you ebst after experimenting and learning the basics of the programs and then try to get serious.
There are lots of Tutorials for any program on their homepages, random user blogs on this site and many others, and there are lots of Youtube tutorials. Plus you can ask here in the forums.
Good Luck!

Yeah, great with audio, MIDI, mastering, film scoring, etc. Logic fails in the beat cutting and easy time stretching department.

OR dual boot Windows onto your Mac and then you can use FL or Cubase. I'm using FL on my Mac.

I shall explore this so-called "Digital Performer"....
3.5 Gigabytes of Free HG Orchestral Soundfonts!
Wanna hear them in action? Listen to Rage of the Giants or Bagatella Di Estate!
Try reading the sticky saying "New to audio? Read this first"
There's lots of stuff to help you there.
theres alot of directions you could go.
You do it the hard way like i do, and go with a room full of synthesizers and recording equipment, or you can go the easy way with software, depends what kind of music your making and what your trying to do.
I would suggest probably FL Studio since it seems to be the standard for just about most people these days.
