What's So Great About The Xbox 360?

I do understand that the Xbox 360 is good and all, but I want to know what all it can do. I've heard of people saying something about the online feture, what's all that about? Or downloading stuff from your computer? Also can someone explain how microsoft points work? I'm an Xbox noob I know, but yeah I've never owned one and I've hardly ever played one.

It's this worldwide currency (everything costs, let's say 2100 MP everywhere), which you can use to pay for stuff instead of real money, if you want to.

You can go on xbox.com, and go to the marketplace and queue up downloads from there for your console.

Also, the point system is going to change soon, maybe by Fall.

The xbox360 is very easy to develop for, at least, easier than the PS3. So many developers developers games for the PS3, giving it a better chance for better games.
The NEW 360s are good, for their large 60gig hard drives, and lack of hardware failures.

There are many great titles for Xbox live arcade, such as Braid and castle crashers. Its dirt cheap too.

The 360 is mostly the no-bullshit system. Its the middle ground of all three next gen devices. The PS3 is hulkish, flashy, tech, and expensive. The Wii is innocent, simple, budget, and slightly innovative. The 360 holds the middle ground and surpasses both in playability and game selection.

No its all online. You download it from the 360's online store (called the marketplace) and it is saved to your hard drive.

I believe you can link the Xbox to a Windows computer, and you can transfer stuff like music other media from the PC to the Xbox using Windows Media Center. Here's what it says on the Xbox:

"Play music, videos, pictures, TV, and more from your PC. All you need is a Windows Media Center PC and a home network."

The online feature is Xbox Live, and it is probably the biggest reason I like Xbox. The number of Xbox Live players is MASSIVE and the online multiplayer has got to be the most fun I've ever had on video games. It also allows you to download games like Castle Crashers and Alien Hominid and such, along with downloadable content like Broken Steel for Fallout 3.

In regards to downloading things off your computer:
I haven't seen much of this, however I know that with Halo 3, you can download maps, videos, and gametypes off of Bungie.net.

Microsoft points are a sort of "currency" that you can use to buy items off of Xbox Live. You purchase it with real world money off of the internet or Xbox Live and they can then be used to buy things from the Xbox LIve Marketplace.

oh you dont need that.. just buy the Castle Crashers Full Game.. which is 1200 MSPoints..

the kings pack is a addon on of 2 characters and some new weapons, not to mention it patches some glicthes... but other than that thats up to you!

Really Xbox 3060 is pretty unoriginal, you can download games on the Wii and PS3. Project Natal is like the Playstation eyetoy, that Meet Milo thing that's supposed to come with it is like Hey You! Pikachu except he actually can talk. Not only that, but most games for the 360 are also for the PS3 and/or Wii.
