The colors.

Yes, you heard me, the colors. The dark gray and orange/dark yellow color scheme gives a evil, Halloween type feel to Newgrounds. Psychologically, it's affecting our mood and turns us into an apathetic, pessimistic, and melancholy society.

Thoughts?

I find the colours to be easy on the eyes. If I had to stare at a white screen for ages, I'd be a lot more bitter.

The gray is perfect, as it is a nice settlement between white and black.

Mabey it is the colors. It does seem like many people on newground can be alittle harsh, with e-mails and such- putting new flash artists down
DA has a light green color sceme which reminds me of nature, and people there are more likely going to lie about likeing a flash there, or more likely to love something there.
Odd really.

In my opinion the colors make it very "underground" and gives me a kind of calm, yet..compact feel. I'm not sure if compact is the perfect word. Besides, colors don't do shit.

I have a Firefox add-on that lets me change the colors of stuff.

All the buttons and a lot of the text is blue, and the background is the dripping blood from a previous Madness day.

I think the psychological effects of colors on people are nothing more than placebo.

For, example, blue is said to be a calming color.
