Scariest Game Ever?

F.E.A.R 2 is the scariest game I've played. Some of the scenes were just way to disturbing, mainly the last one though. What's the scariest game you guys have played?

Well, the most scared I ever was in a game was in Ocarina of Time but that's because I was little.

The hands that make the wind sound and then grab you from the ceiling scared the shit out of me. There were those two rooms in the forest temple that always freaked me out, not to even mention the shadow temple. I was only like 7 at the time though.

Games nowadays don't really scare me.

I was 14 when I first played Forbidden Siren and evading the Shibito presented some shit scary moments...plus they looked so incredibly weird.

Which reminds me of the moment in Silent Hill 3 where you find a decapitated mannequin. Yes, anything Silent Hill related that doesn't involve Homecoming is pretty scary.

Metroid Prime 3 made me jump out of my skin on the G.F.S. Valhalla, where you open a door and suddenly a corpse is standing in front of you disintegrating.

But scariest game? FUCKING HELL, download Afraid of Monsters. Not only is it a classic hospital setting, but monsters spawn everywhere and at random depending on how you're doing, like left for dead. Also, it's the HL1 engine which strangely makes it more scary due to the bad graphics.

Ok I got one when I found a 3do used at a yard sell I also picked up a copy of alone in the dark. Sure the graphics where crappy but from the moment you find out that the guy committed suicide and all the badly polygonal monsters start stalking you it spooked me me out. And then there was clock tower on the saturn that was disturbing that is til I played silent hill 2.

"True" fear as you stated is merely a moment that causes trauma or stress to the brain usually through the use of a disturbing image or a frightening depiction of a fictional moment.

Although i do agree with you that SilentHill is quiet "scary" i must also point out that there is no such thing as "True" fear unless the games traumatized beyond a scale that the human brain can take.

How about you play more than Resident Evil 4 and 5 you moron. Playing RE Remake for the Gamecube had to be the most freightning experience for me. Especially the Forrest mode, where he stalked you with the bombs attached to him.
