A furry is when a person adopts an animal/human avatar. Some do it for the lulz, others do it for the fetish, some do it as a spirituality thing as in they're releasing the inner animal. Just look it up on Wikipedia and don't make an opinion based on these ignorant fucks on the NG BBS.

Putting aside my absolute disapproval with them mongrels, it is of my opinion that pornography should be forbidden to be placed in the art portal. Based on the lives of other art based web sites, the pornography tends to deteriorate the quality of the website in general and spark hostility to different groups and individuals. I see it that if the smut is removed entirely, of every genre, that the portal will be in an overall greater health. Newgrounds, in my opinion should be a flash website, with maybe an art portal, and should be clear of pornography. I know that people and them mongrels are nearly incapable of not posting content that is generally distasteful and not related to the newgrounds culture, and that it cannot be helped, but I do think at least an effort to control or diminish the smut would be in the utmost benefit of the website. A suggestion would be to completely move the adult section of the art portal to the adult content part of the site, and have it not be directly linked to the art portal it self. While I am aware of the so called filters, I saw so called because I have only looked at the art portal about 3 times so far, and I do not believe that these filters work quite as well as they intend to, and I believe that filters should not be needed if the art work submissions were moderated and or judged by peers with a sense for the bettering of the art portal.

I don't furry porn being in the art portal. I do not respect the users who post it there. But realize something. The second you enter the art section, the "mature section" is hidden. And for a reason. I mean what do you expect if you open up that section.

If you object to see pornography of anything in the art portal, don't click that M you whiney bastards. I don't, and I don't see sonic banging fox on my screen ever. Be tolerant with it, because you have to understand that whether something is wrong or not, and listen to this; If it is your choice to be affected by anything you find is wrong, then you can't whine about it and still be respectable.

Q: What are the rules for the Art Portal?

A: The rules are:

* No photographs! We recognize photography as an artistic endeavor, but we're not including it in our Art Portal.
* You must be the owner and creator of the work you are submitting.
* Racist or hateful material will be removed.
* Illegal material will be removed.
* We try to be tolerant, but reserve the right to draw the line on adult material. In general, funny stuff gets a pass but downright pervert-bate may cross the line.

Note the last one. There is a fine line between porn and art with nudity. Porn, in general, is sexualized and is simply invites people to masurbate to it. A picture with nudity, however, is something with effort put into it and can actually be attributed to real art. Some examples of blatant porn would be this and this. If anyone can't tell that's just blatant porn, they need glasses. Art with nudity however, can be defined by something with real effort put into it and isn't oversexualized. An image can be in the clear for that while maintaining sexual themes, but once it goes into the area of "oh look, boobs" then it's too far. 2 examples of art with nudity would be this, and this. These are a bit harder to distinguish, because while they aren't blatant porn, they still contain nudity and some would argue that they're still porn. Art with nudity isn't just defined by the effort though. Even if it's a really good picture with extreme detail and the artist was very attentive to give the drawing emotions, porn is porn. Kafu is a good artist, but it's still porn. Homare is a good artist, but it's still porn. Kurona is a good artist, and he does plenty of art that has nudity but doesn't qualify as porn (granted, there is porn there too). Feel free to debate on this.
