She murdered someone?
Oh no, you can't charge her, she has 218 children to feed.
Oh, okay, let her go.

Granted...it was music P2Ping...

But you know you are not supposed to, not allowed to do that shit. No excuse.

Although the punishment is a bit steep...$1.9M...come on, they're $0.99. WELL PERHAPS THE WOMAN SHOULD HAVE JUST PAID 24 BUCKS INSTEAD OF PIRATING?

But considering she might've been poor...

THEN SHE SHOULD HAVE SPENT TIME AT WORK TO FEED HER KIDS

Ehhh, I'm pretty sure we've sentenced murders and rapists to death, but I don't know if any case of music piracy has resulted in that yet.

Aren't those rich record companies who produce the songs rich enough. I mean everybody downloads songs for free and they probably make more in a year than what a average person makes in a lifetime.

pfft, it is safe to assume that at least two of those justices or jury members have pirated at least once in their lives. It is just the age we live in.

I would think doubling the amount of money, such as 24 songs = $48, but no. RIAA is full of greedy people regardless. It's not 80,000 times worse to steal a song then to buy it and have to pay for it. I havn't heard of any of those asses in NYC who bootleg music on the street, right in front of people, but some lady in her house with a family has to go to jail for an extremely long amount of time to make up for around 2 and a half albums worth of music.

$1.9 M? Jesus, that's like an even worst fine than being found guilty of fraud and corruption.
