The title just spoke for itself a AmenBreak contest! I think it would be fun to honor the most over used loop in history! And to shake up some Dnb artist here in NG! Okay lets begin!

Its got like 40 diffrint kinds of amenloops to choose from!

THA RULES:

-The submission must be made for this contest!

-Your allowed two submissions

-You dont have to make DnB song. I'll explain further.

-Dont just paste the AmenBreak in your song slice it or pitch it.

The thing is you dont have to make a DnB song. Sound kinda wierd. Okay a example:

Number1: Your used to making classical music so why not mix it with the Amenbreak.

Number2: Your a expert in Trance or Dance why not Break a Amen in it?

I want to hear all kinds of cool experiments done with the AmenBreak. And it has to be recognizable. Its still has to have that Amen flavor in it!

Yep! the Amen must be used! Hence the reason this is called the AmenBreak contest. But you are free to use other breaks as a intro and so on.

Meh, I think it's a good idea regardless of how overused that loop gets. If anything it might teach a few noobs about the importance of that drum sample/ sampling in general. It's also bound to teach someone about the different uses/applications of slicing. Seriously, if there's anything I hate more than hearing noobs over use the amen break, it's hearing old vets bitch and moan about it. Fact is, when it comes to this age old argument, anyone who has an opinion is wrong in some way shape or form. A lot of noobs over use the sample because it's all they understand. A lot of vets avoid the sample because some one else told them it's overused. Thing is, it's a very valuable resource in terms of educating others towards electronic dance music, and old vets throw away that resource like it's some sort of bane because they're "sick of hearing it."

Instead of bitching and moaning about the amen break, try taking a little bit of time to educate others about it and then teach them how to use more legitimate techniques.
