I won't be able to do any more reviews now. I'll try to do a few every week, but I realize that school not only takes most of the time I have for reviewing, but it's a huge demotivator for reviewing.

Besides, it's the only way Steph could pass me.

Well, I've been putting it off for a while, but I think it's about time I request to join in with this club. I've really picked up on reviewing as of late, and it doesn't make sense for me not to be doing it for people that really want opinions. I'm gonna go ahead and start hitting up some of these requests.

Ah.. your reviews might not be deletable, but they aren't exactly what I would consider helpful reviews. You might want to change your style a bit more and realize that people who request things in this club want the most helpful review possible. I'm not the best reviewer, but a good flash review that is truly helpful to the author is going to be longer than 2, 3, 4, or maybe even 5 lines.

Take a look at Coop83's reviews for example.

I'm not saying you need to conform to a certain style of reviewing, but there needs to be effort and you need to make the most helpful review you can in every situation. Make it your own style, but improve a bit. If you think you can then go ahead and start reviewing if you want and we'll see what happens.

Please, I have some more songs I want to be reviewed. This first one I have had out for a long time and I just remastered it. It has never even had 1 review.

W00t! Finished all the reviews :D. Man, my reviews are getting longer and longer O_o. I already made it to the character limit once (although that was a review to a long song) and my reviews are starting to get to around 2000 characters left, when they were usually about 3000 left. Oh well, that's good news for the artists, I guess :\.

Man, I hope this week isn't going to be busy, I have the whole weekend without being able to review, and on Tuesday neither, so I practically just have around 3-4 days if not less being able to review.

It's not often I get to request a review for a daily feature, but here you go - it's been up for almost 48 hours and it's only got 40 reviews, so give it a shot :)

This week has not been a good week for reviewing for me..I still have 9 reviews left to do, and I keep on forgetting to put "[Review Request Club]" at the end :(

I guess this is a sign of times to come...If I happen to get everything done this week, it'll be the last week I do for ages..

As much as I appreciate the job that the members of the Request Club do, it still hasn't changed one of its most annoying habits since I left it.

You guys are giving 8's, 9's, and 10's left and right. Stop being so generous with your scores. Start being more objective. It's nice to have your ego stroked every now and then but it doesn't help an artist grow. I'm not asking you to give 3's and discourage people from making music, but a few more 6's an 7's would be nice. If our songs were really 9's and 10's, they'd be more popular and whatnot. But they're obviously not 9 or 10 material. Now, some reviewers like brutal honesty, others don't. It doesn't matter, take your chances and be extremely critical, that's why people request reviews in first place.

YES, it GETS tiring to nitpick the bad aspects of a song when you've got over 20 requests, but that's what's expected of you, or at least that's what I expect when I request reviews. The only (ex)member who was ever criticial here was Bezman, and that's why I loved his reviews. Thank you for taking the time to review songs and flashes, but please ensure you do a quality job instead of rushing through songs to get an 100% review rate. I read earlier that someone wanted to limit requesters to 2 submissions per week. Go ahead, do it. Hell, limit it to 1, even. You might get less requests, but you'll also do a better job.

All that being said, thanks again for the work you do. I'll get to responding your reviews soon.

P.S. You forgot to add me back to the club, I mentioned I wanted to join again on page 18. That made me sadeface ):

You do realize that some of the members, especially people like me have no clue what makes a good song good and what makes a bad song bad. We can just go by if we liked it or not.

Now think about it for a second. If you knew basically nothing about something wouldn't it be better to give it a score higher than it deserved rather than a score lower than it deserved?

Don't focus on the score of a review anyway. That has nothing to do with what the review says.

That last line I can agree with, but you would expect the score to be coherent with the review.

Just my opinion in the end. I guess I just like people being critical of my work.

And again like I said those people that can't be critical with your submissions such as people like me can't do it simply because we don't have the knowledge about music to do it. It's like asking you to help fix something that you have no clue how it works. So sorry, but the only reviews that you will get from me for audio is how I think it would go with a flash, what it makes me think of, whether it was too repetitive or not, and whether I liked it or not. You'll have to deal with it. I obviously give you 9's because that's how much I enjoyed your submission.

But anyway, I've just checked your reviews and my decision is that you can join. Your reviews go from very helpful to quite poor (especially the flash ones) but if you review the requests like you reviewed "Dirty War", it's all good. By the way, I haven't seen any of your reviews with a score below 7 on the first page ;).

I give quite high scores, but I always give a decent amount of critism. I usually give out 10's if I can't find anything wrong in the song or the pros outweigh the cons, a 9 if it's very good but has a few problems, an 8 if I enjoyed it, but it needs some more work put into some details, seven if it had a good idea put into it, but wasn't performed well enough, 6 if it didn't really fit well with me and has quite a few defects, five if it's pretty bad and shows that the author didn't work hard on it, 4 if it sucks and I disliked it, 3 if I hated it and there were barely or weren't even any good things to the song, 2 if it's just plain awful and with no effort put into it, 1 if it hurts my ears and makes me want to smash down that mute button, or 0 if I couldn't tell the difference between the song itself and the sound a constipated elephant would make. I think that's a fair enough score system, right? :3.

Oh, and they didn't add you to the club since you didn't post the points you gained at the end of the week from reviewing the requests the first time ;).

I don't do flash reviews and, as of late, I've only been reviewing songs I really like (hence the 9's and 10's) or returning favors. Page 8 is filled with 6's and 5's, which was the period when I was part of the club last year.

I'll wait. I'll probably limit my reviews to music.

I see what you mean, but sometimes it's pretty hard to come up with a score. My main problem is that I don't listen to techno at all, so it gets hard for me to review techno submissions from an objective point of view in the first place.
That does influence the score I give as well, because it would be unfair to take away points just because I don't like a certain genre. So it might be that my scores are a bit higher than what I would usually give if I reviewed a submission of a genre I liked.
