Well thats all in the eye of the beholder, all im saying is that the art portal you have to see as a stage where you are presenting your work.. its not like the training grounds, thats where your userpage art section is.. you rule that realm and so anything goes for that.

The flash portal is just as harsh really.... people blam tons of shit everyday. You gotta bring a decent level of effort or not show up or youll get blammed. Same sorta mentality its just a different way of working it.

And I don't know if anyone will be able to answer this, but I want to submit a painting of a tree I made in third grade (it's literally the only thing I've kept, and I just want to see what people think of it), but it's too big to scan. Can I take a picture of it and upload that or will it be deleted?

Also, do they just delete art if they think it's crappy?

I think I've seen a few submissions removed from the recently submitted page, but I don't think they were deleted.

Some things I'd like to point out:

Art submit should be seen on this page.

There isn't a page for Art Portal Reviews to be seen.

Sometimes I don't see the "Next" and "Previous" buttons under the art.

Related art should be shown all the time. I don't see it all the time though.

You can't really blame them for occasional glitches, since it hasn't even been officially announced yet.
Give them time to iron out bugs etc.

I agree with all of this but keep in mind that it's not really officially launched yet (the link isn't up and it hasn't been announced). I think they'll also be adding the Art reviews in your profile sooner or later

Why does all this fun shit happen while I'm at work? I don't even have any art made up for it.

Okay - so the art portal's up and running. Awesome - all I have to do now is plug my scanner back in, submit not-crap art, open some of my work up to developers, and perhaps then carving my niche in NG won't be quite as difficult.
