& Why
Im watching Requiem For A Dream for the 5th time and i'm just wondering what films you guys have watched repeatedly and they have stood up to more than one viewing. It's only certain films that i could watch more than once i think , films like Blade Runner or Memento.
The ending of Requiem still gets me going every time.
nobody goes there anymore. its too popular.

I've watched The Mask countless times when I was young.
Memento is also a movie that I can watch several times. Watched it twice so far.
Can you please tease me by saying what Requiem for a dream is like?
My signature was old so I changed it.

I watch my favourite movies hundreds of times.
One summer, I watched this movie every day at least once a day. You better bet I had that whole script memorised. lol.
The sig that I'm wearin? Awesomely made by Skaren!
Also, I like annoying Americans by calling English football "real football" and American football "rugby".-Lost-Chances

Donny Darko was good but...it was just a pseudo-intellectual attempt at a Bergman Movie [ Like riding the Bullet ]
Ive seen a few movies lots and lots of times, and I dont know why. They range from Julien Donkey boy, to Coneheads. I guess some movies just strike people, and becuse of an aspect or too they dont get bored with the same plot, over and over, because its about the details of that plot, or whatever.

I always find Goodfellas hilarious, so I've watched it more than once. I pretty much will watch any movie I enjoy more than once, but not back to back.

Shawshank Redemption for me. It's because not only does the movie have a great feel good story by the end, but also because it's one of those movies where if you watch it more than one time you notice something that you didn't notice before the other times you watched it. For instance, I didn't notice that when the warden took Andy's bible when they were looking through his cell that the rock hammer was inside of it. I saw later on that he used the book to hide it but when I watched that scene again I realized how close Andy was to getting caught with the rock hammer as all the warden had to do was open up the book to see it. Also he almost walked away with the Bible after he exited the cell.
And May is one damn fine month to be working outdoors.

Anything Tarintino and Kubrick. They're my two most favoured directors, so it's not really surprising why.

i tell a lot of people about this film and always find it hard to explain , i always have the same problem with the watchmen ( book ) as well.
basically , it's about 4 different people trying to achieve their own dreams but through addiction and various other problems they all encounter , they fail and their lives implode. It is one of the most depressing films i have ever watched.
please feel free if you have seen it to try and explain it better than i have.

I watched Reqiuem the other morning and really enjoyed it. Not what I was expecting at all, but in a good way. The director use's some awsome techniques to get his point across and the ending is a real downer (as intented). Definatley worth checking out, but it might not turn out to be your thing.

Gotta agree with that, Shawshank never gets old. On the same note, I could watch The Green Mile a hundred times over and still enjoy it (not to mention having an equally strong emotional reaction to the execution scene). If you haven't seen it, go watch it. If you have seen it, watch it again.

Agree with you 100% on green mile there. Especially the execution scene , almost in tears the first time i saw it and i have no shame admitting it :) It reminds me of the song Mercy Seat

If I buy a movie on DVD it's pretty much a guarantee that I'm going to watch it at least 3 or 4 times. And I have hundreds of DVDs.
I'm not sure which movie I've seen the most times. It's most likely either The Terminator, Pulp Fiction or Aliens. I must have watched each of them at least 15-20 times.

Eternal Sunshine, because it just kills me every time and I probably have a girl crush on Clementine. Oh god, and then there's Garden State as well. So much love.

Speaking of Tarantino, I just found out that the source of inspiration for making Pineapple Express according to producer Judd Apatow, was Brad Pitt's character in True Romance. Ain't that a lark?

The Big Lebowski
Watched that movie about 3 or 4 times by now and I think I can still watch a dozen times more without getting bored with it. So many hidden jokes and references that I discover every time I watch it again.
Also I´ve seen The Dark Knight in the cinema twice. Once with some friends and once with my gf. Thought it was one of those typical movies that is so much more awesome in the cinema than on TV.
Beside those two there are plenty of other good movies that I watched several times (although I can´t remember any right now) and plenty of good movies that I wouldn´t mind watching again.

Evil Dead II never gets old. I can watch most films 2-3 times without getting bored.
However, Requiem For A Dream ain't one of them.
