that dirty bastard. I would have liked to watch him on ESPN sportscenter as an anchor
This guy is the Eminem of football.
If he thinks he can play for one more year and make what some of us will spend our whole loves to earn then more power to him. Can't say I wouldn't do the same thing in his position. Besides, he's not even forty yet. I know that's up there for football, but it's his life. It's got to be hard to just walk away from that knowing you still have so much time ahead of you.
Happy with what you have to be happy with
you have to be happy with what you have
to be happy with you have to be happy with what you have
Someone needs to take away his walker.
The tearful retirement and his signing with the Jets was the last straw for me. This is just ridiculous. I understand if you love the game that you should play it for as long as you can, but don't quit and be like "Wait, I changed my mind". The Vikes should revoke the offer, it's too much of a distraction, and let's be frank, he's not what he once was.
You never realize how much you miss something until you decide that you think you're ready to walk away from it. It's just happened with Brett Favre a lot more often than most athletes.
I wouldn't mind having him if I were the Minnesota Vikings. Tavaris Jackson hasn't lived up to expectations, and Sage Rosenfels is a journeyman backup. I know Favre would turn 40 by the time the season got a month or so through, but the guy still has amazing arm strength. Sure, the many interceptions he throws is pretty risky, but you're always looking to improve your team in the NFL, and I think Favre would be an improvement over what they have at quarterback right now.
Hell, if he can lead the Vikings to the Super Bowl, he'd be loved in the state of Minnesota, even after he played for the rival Green Bay Packers for all those years.

Yes, I have a Facebook.
You can follow me and be a fan here!!!
I wouldn't mind seeing him out there again if he didn't make a big stink everytime he left. There is no way he honestly doesn't know he's coming back when he goes into "retirement". It's like he's an attention whore or something with the super emotional goodbye speeches. I wish he would just really sit and make a definite descision before he jumps up on a podium and stars crying.
Looks like I might become a Vikings fan!!
The sig that I'm wearin? Awesomely made by Skaren!
Also, I like annoying Americans by calling English football "real football" and American football "rugby".-Lost-Chances
