I was practising skin tones and shading.
This is the result of 1 hour mouse-drawing on flash :D
the shading just doesn't look right because you have spots of highlights everywhere without a clear light source. It looks like it's either above his head, behind his head or right in front of him

Mmm..
I actually make those light points.
But this time i was thinking doing something different.
I think if you blur it a little it looks fine, at least for me
Its good, but like the other guy said, the shading is a little weird.
It's good. Reminds me of an old technique I used in paint before I started using photoshop for my lighting effects.
If you have photoshop, then use your blur tool to smoothen it all out, then it should a bit better. Personally I just use the Burn and Dodge tools in photoshop, with a soft-edged brush.
i personally dont use shades im not saying its bad im just saying what happened to the good ol black and white pics with tiny bits of colour example
what do you mean a severed hand isnt funny

I would never recommend using burn and dodge for shadows, I only use them for the highlights and darkest shadows. other areas would be better served with a soft brush with low opacity.

Black and White Pics can be great. Some pictures even work better when they are in black and white. I should know, I made an entire animation in black and white. Your pic however is not a good example.
It is not simplistic enough, the lines are shakey.
The colors you added do nothing for the picture, they make it look sloppy, amateuristic
it is not funny
there is a spelling mistake in it.
