"Steak with side of steak" - best steak related quote in recorded history.

It's revealed in one episode that his name is Joshua or Josh, although it's not clear whether or not it's his first, middle, or last name.

It's not any of them, he's a celebrated pathological liar. And that's why we love the Janitor.

It was in one of his more apparently honest moments.
It's the episode where Turk looses a testicle. Janitor is talking to Dr. Cox, and says, "I've been called a great many things in my life. Back stabber, orstrich poacher, Josh. But, I accepted them, as they all held a certain degree of truth."

Yeah, I know the episode you're referring to, but he still could be lying. Also, it can be taken that he was offended that somebody believed his name was Josh. See, there's the trick, purposely write a joke that can be taken so many ways that it turns into a mindfuck and nobody can prove it haha.

Yeah, that's the way such a joke works. The same sort of thing works in The Simpsons with the whole "which state is Springfield in?" joke. It keeps the audience guessing, and possibly more importantly, it keeps the audience viewing. It could be like the case of Maris in Frasier, where they originally wanted to have anv actress playinmg Maris, but decided against it because the joke had gotten far too crazy. I'm a subscriber to the Neil Flynn theory here though, particularly after that episode that shows Flynn in The Fugitive. I'm hoping they'll never bother with a name though.
I could probably stomach a Turk spin-off though. It depends if the sources are true to their words.

The Neil Flynn theory has always been a good fall-back. I don't care if "Glenn Matthews" may not be his name, but a little part of me likes to believe it would be since it's an in-joke with Bill Lawrence since the janitor in Clone High was named Glenn. Though involving the topic of this thread itself, I'm still not buying this Turk spin-off. That's the only site that's ever said anything about it. Also Lawrence opted for the show to not be renamed when continued.
