I went to GameStop the other day to get the new Spyro Game, Dawn of the Dragon, for PS3.
I pay and all that shit, and when i get home to open the case, I see it.
They gave me Spyro 4, the Dragonfly one.

So, I go back with the game, case, and reciept.
....they didn't accept it for a refund.
I walked out with 50$ stolen from my pockets. The worst part?

...they didn't have Spyro 4 on the shelves.

Anyone else hate GameStop and their dumbass employees?

They did that when I got Skate 2. First, there was no game in the case. Then, the female employee gave me the first skate game. But, I did eventually get my skate 2.

They are legally obligated to either refund your money or exchange the item for the correct game. In doing so they'll probably want to take some contact information down in case they or any of the other shops in the chain have you going in again for another refund, but they do have to make it right.

This may sound like kissing ass, but of course they did. They won't give you a new refund/new copy unless you report that the disc is busted or something. It's far-fetched, but they're thinking that you bought the game, replaced the disc, and wanted a refund as a cheap pirate.

Sucks dude, but the Gamestop I live by has pretty good employees. They're always correct with whatever I am buying, and aren't afraid to express their true opinion on a game I ask about. Yes, they'll tell me if it really sucks or not.

One time they even gave me a promotional Streetfighter 4 poster, just because they had too many, and just because I happened to have been next in line! This wasn't just a cheap paper poster, it was those ones that they actually show on their windows to advertise the game, and it was made from like cardboard or something.

Another thing is that I always hear how people complain about GS employees asking them if they want to pre-order, even if their just browsing or buying. The ONLY time I was every asked this was when I was Pre-Ordering SSBB, and they just wanted to know if I wanted to pre-order the new Mario Kart as it came with something special if pre-ordered.

So yeah, I guess that I'm just lucky about my GameStop's quality, I feel bad for everyone else!

That's why I allways check before I leave the store. But I usually go to Play N Trade. They are way cooler there. If there's a problem, they have no problem fixing it. They don't rip you off either. I went in the other day to ger a disk polished and it wasn't working so they gave me a replacement disc for free. That's how cool they are. The only thing I don't like about them that GameStop does is they do not allow you to return used games for full credit.

I don't have Gamestop in NZ, I go to EB games. But they're similar to gamespot as they trade in games and shit.

But I find them very useful, the staff knows games and such and they have all the latest games.

One time i bought a $40 xbox point card, and when i got home and used it, it came up as already used, I try to take it back to eb games, ( same thing as game stop ) they say call MS, So i call MS and they say there is nothing they can do about defective cards because of people trying to makes fakes, fuck there good at assuming every coustomer is a criminal ea?
