I often come across people and the first thing they want to know is, "so are you straight? single?" What I want to know is, "why does it matter so much?" I think there are better interests and goals in life than sex and losing your virginity as soon as possible.

I agree with you here, but I've never been in a situation where people just ask random questions about my sexuality out of the blue. People usually don't ask that stuff unless they're trying to get to know you. And if that's the case, you really shouldn't be offended. Just take it easy, answer the question, and move on with the conversation instead of crying about it.

Personal note: I could sure as hell use a partner, but I have a goal in life which is more important to me than pretty much everything. That would be getting a book formally published and sold. I'm currently writing a lot of things and will be for a long time. It's my goal to improve my writing skills to the point that I can write a full-page book or novel and get it published.

Good luck with that, man. And you really shouldn't worry about finding a partner. Just continue to do whatever you. Don't live up to someone else's standards.

Call me an insensitive, selfish prick but that goal of mine is more important to me than having a partner. One desire outweighs the other here. If I could choose between getting a book published or having a mate, I'd take the book offer.

Also, no it's retarded to have that as your only goal in life. Finding a partner is a better goal, but love is pretty unpredictable and you'll feel like hanging yourself if you lose it with nothing else to fall back on.

Find something career-wise that you like or you'll be very miserable, because you're going to be doing that for the rest of your life after college or whatever. If you do find that job you want, you'll only be slightly miserable.

If you're rich, you're miserable because women just want you for money and your huge house, and you can buy nice cars and pool tables and shit. If you're poor, you're miserable because you can't afford anything. If you're middle income, you're miserable because you're an average person. Of these three though, rich is the best though because you get vacations in hawaii and shit.

If you play with fire, you'll probably get burned by it eventually. Sex sounds good, but it has way too many complications for me to be too interested in it. If I can find someone that would be willing to share something like that I'd be happy, but after you do it well that road of course isn't an easy one. Since personal relationships aren't always about sex its too much of an emotional roller coaster for me to be dealing with right now.

Honestly I mean since I am a teenager all I can think about most of the time is sex, but it isn't my life goal to just have sex, my life goal is to change the world. Of course not. Sex isn't everything. Sure, it's a part of life, but it shouldn't consume it. I just think the world today is too into everything sex. It's not something to be taken lightly and it's not just for pleasure. Most people don't understand that, and maybe that's one reason out of a hundred for why there are so many pregnant teenagers. I think someone's sex life should be private, only between partners or oneself.
