Okay, I know this turned out to be more of a joke than bad game art, but I'm still giving it a go. I just wanted maybe suggestions on it so far. I'm practically done but I could still touch it up a bit.

Also, I will only be able to work on it until around saturday or sunday, maybe even friday because I'm leaving for two weeks, if that effects any extensive things I could do to change it.

It seems like a lot of people are missing the point. My ideas about it might not be spot on, but I think it'd help to throw them out there. Pox feel free to veto.

Here's my contributions.
1- Take a classic video game character and render them and their environment as if they were in a Silent Hill game.
2- Take a classic video game character and treat him as if he's Michael Jackson circa 1988 you need to make him look like Michael Jackson 2008. (too soon?)
3- Take a video game that is cute and remove all of the cuteness.
4- Take a video game character and treat him as if he was a villian in Batman. I.E. Bozo the clown becomes Joker.
5- Take a video game character and pretend they grew up being beaten by daddy and addicted to Meth.
6- Your video game character should start out feeling like Bugs Bunny and end up looking like Frank from Donny Darko
7- Think "ugly".

Ok this version is much more complete than the one I previously submitted. I hope this is acceptable in the contest. But I am unsure... either way I hope it at least makes someone laugh a little lol

I think mine would fall under #3 then?

I just suck so bad with photoshop... I don't know how you guys get such polished stuff. Mine always looks like ...muck! boo! :(

Your piece looks good to me. I don't know what you're talking about with photoshop either I always thought you were one of the better artists here. I guess maybe you usually work in line art. Now that I think of it.

I'm gonna have to agree with what you got there. I've been following this contest closely to see what is spawned, and a lot of people just don't understand the concept. You need to take the game, and show it's dark colours, not turn it into a porno.

how not? All of those have happened in pac man games, except the pink ghost sucking his dick which is associated with the power up he's shooting out of his dick from the game pac n pal. There are power pellets which he is stomping a ghosts head into, and those DO kill ghosts when pac man uses one. This is vague associations, but it makes sense because pac man always had vague graphics in the games, and we are supposed to make it messed up. Half of this comes from the game pac n pal so I guess I can't blame you because of its rarity/obscurity.

1:15 and 3:05 shows him use those power ups that are shot from the gun and his dick, since it's like 6 bit or whatever an Atari is the graphics are very vague and you could probably associate the lasers with a gun, and humorously associate the second power up with him spraying sperm about which is the one flaw because it's kind of a joke.

So yeah there's that one part. other than that I should be fine as long as I have a link to that video in my submission post to show people the gameplay.

Also everything could be a bit darker in my opinion, or at least the sky. That should make it a bit more creepy. Try experimenting with duplicated layers and different blend mode settings instead of just darking it in total.

Sry, wrong pic... This is the final tweaked version, But actually they're both look good to me, which one do you guys think is better? (and when I say better I mean creepier)

hmmm, I'd go for the first one. While the high contrast in the background of the second looks cool, the lighting gets a bit iffy in that one. I keep feeling the aliens should be lighted from those glowing orbs in the background, which they arent.

Yeah you're probably right.
But what I was thinking of doing is to go with the 1st one but to change the contrast on the guy inside the space ship so he will look better like in the 2ed pic...

So what I did here is I maid the lightning in the background darker so it doesn't look like the aliens need highlights (I hope) and changed the contrast on the guy inside the spaceship.
So what do ya think?

It's Cool. Id let it sit there and do nothing with it for a (few) day(s), sometimes you see stuff that needs improving then, But Id say it turned out really good.
