McDonalds, should be McDicks

So today I went to McDonalds to get a breakfast sandwich. So I went up to the counter ordered a Mcgriddle and two egg Mcmuffins. Unknowingly at first I gave the lady a 20. I opened my wallet to double check my money and saw I gave her a 20. She gave me back a few bucks like I gave her a 10 when I pointed out I gave her a 20. She then proceeded to get pissed and call me a liar. I stood there and argued with her for 10 minutes until I said 'Fuck it' and left. Before I left I screamed Mcdonalds, should be called McDicks. Moral of the story is make sure you don't give people at fast food places extra money because they won't give you back your correct change because they are fuck ups and can't do anything right like math for example. This really pissed me off since the dumb bitch took the extra money I bet she pocketed it to.

You should have handled the situation differently. Instead of screaming about McDonalds, you should have calmly asked to speak to her superior or the manager. She'd probably then have proceeded to give your money back.

If she looked like everyone else on the staff, she's most likley bullshitting. They have a slightly different outfit if I recall; at anyrate it should say so on her tag. If it didn't, she indeed lied. I understand how you feel though - there was this bitch at a McDonnald's I went to that didn't hear my order and got pissy when I pointed out she got the wrong stuff. I'd called out to her six fucking times, and she was never more than 5 metres away.

You should have asked to see CCTV video to prove it was a $20 and not a $10.

There are 2 good reasons for this:

@ - If you are right, then they are stealing from you. You can take some sort of leagal action in some way (I think. Dont ask me, Im sure there is something though).

I know they would have CCTV good enough to work out if it was a 20 or not.

There's a nice Canadian. I was actually nice and did say excuse me, each time. Sorry, missed with one of them. I usually don't go out of my way and would usually of not correct her, but the order was entirely wrong: a McChicken instead of a Quater Pounder? That's why it's frustrating, you be nice and they don't care. By the last two calls she definatly could have heard me. I think this is why people find it harder to be nice - too many make it not worth while and you end up feeling shitty.

Yeah seriously because I usually eat about 5 or 6 sandwhiches when I go to McDonalds. Only light weights eat three sandwhiches. ;)

But, meh I always count my change and make sure it's right before I go away from the counter. Right to the cent even if it's only a couple of cents off I let them know. Ever notice that they can't count though? They wouldn't be able to do anything if it wasn't for their little calculator there on the machine.

Well she can't just open the till and hand you a 10 because you claimed you gave her a 20. What you should have done was given them your number and asked them to phone you if the till was up by $10 at the end of the day when they count up. It's standard procedure, I've had that happen to me before and I got my money back the next day.
