Lopsided? Not really. She's obviously moving, and breasts aren't glued in place.
I like her, by the way, Felis. I like her design and her expression. You should have had more clothing around her hips/crotch area, though, instead of just panties. Not because I think it's "indecent" but because I think that area looks strange in conjunction with the rest of the outfit. Maybe some shorts would have looked good.

I don't mean lopsided in place, I mean in size. Her right boob is bigger than her left boob.

still havent got your proportions right, if that leg is farther away it wouldnt come out past the forward leg, if that makes sense, or at least it wouldnt come out as far as it has

Flying Island Cephalopod : LuftKraken

A fearsome combination of plant and animal, the LuftKraken starts out as a sort of seed, and eventually grows large enough for its float bladder to allow it to levitate. It also develops tentacles that allow it to free itself from the ground.

LuftKraken start out in life hovering slightly above ground, eating plant matter and developing in the warmth of the sun. As they get bigger, they begin feeding on animals, and the tree component's roots grow to become additional tentacles that help the LuftKraken feed.

After ten years growth, Luftkraken are big and fast enough to prey upon large animals, and their growth increases exponentially.

Eventually, their float bladders will increase in size, with the rest of the animal, to allow the LuftKraken to fly high into the atmosphere, where many of the larger ones remain, although some rare examples have had deformed Float Bladders, and therefore became immense near-ground dwellers.

LuftKraken always have heaps of earth to use as protection and a supply of nutrition for the photosynthesis-using tree part. It also serves as a nursery, as when the tree part dispenses its (Very Few) seeds that produce more LuftKraken, these will usually land in the safe, protected earth armor of the parent Luftkraken.

However, younger Luftkraken have neither sufficient control of their float bladders, or float bladders big enough to maintain their buoyancy, and will therefore go down to the level of others of their kind of a similar age.

For Mario enemies.

Should I use the top or bottom one?

Bottom's unshaded as of now; will put in if it is better.

The only sun-based enemy that pissed me off more than the angry sun was the Son of the Sun from Chrono Trigger.

Es.

Also, playing around with character design.

Lightning arm.

Basic fill coloring to keep it from being just black and white, no shading yet.

Sorta I guess. That's a good thing, right?

I've been asking around about which outfit the character looks better in.

People seem to favor the skirt. I guess I drew her prettier in the skirt, but...

I got a satisfactory explanation out of one person, who stated that girlier clothing would help a character look more innocent, and in this one's case, help disguise their homicidal mania.

i agree. skirt looks a lot better. and you did say she was a homicidal killer or whatever, but the shadows/bags under her eyes make her look too.... tired. not so much creepy killer. idk.

I like it but her proportions are just awful. Here head is a little big, her legs are either too big for her body or her torso is too small. Arms should always reach just above her knees. Besides that I like it, Finish it.

Response to Felis's Sketchbook 2010-09-07 14:07:34

Your anatomy is improving, but everyone still has such stumpy torsos.

Look back at your mermaid, as a torso proportion reference.

Oh God, that was posted so long ago it hurts. Yeah, reducing head-to-body ratio.

At least, that's what I'm giving myself the impression of doing.

Anyway.

Something new.

Part of a concept sheet, unfinished. This part is really the only one done.

I didn't feel like drawing any of my characters.

So I took something else and made it resemble something else.

One thing is obvious, and the hair makes the other source even more obvious.

How strange, yet oddly appealing.

I was actually using one, but I can't draw straight lines proficiently. Yet. That and I changed a few details about it, which ones I can't remember.

I guess I could have used the line tool.

meh, nvm, my bad. more accurate than i thought. just missing a piece or two (the marks of WIP-ness)
however, look at where the gun is going. into her shoulder. i know its meant to be going under her arm, but that definetely looks like its going through her shoulder. :P
do you use the whole "shapes" method? liike, drawing cylinders for arms and legs, spheres for joins, and all that jazz? if not, i advise you to do so, and also, use more refs and pay attention to the shape and proportions.
=P

Nope I found it! Why on earth did I say Adventure quest. I meant MechQuest!
