All of them, you should get at least CS3 though as it was the one introducing the newest version of AS.

As it's the newest version of Flash, that is of course best (all of you "booh, CS3 is so much better"-people, stfu ;D). You might be able to get CS3 much cheaper though, if so you shouldn't waste your money and on CS4, it's not that big of a difference between them really.

Well with the new patch, AS4 has some really nice features, and runs smoothly.

it's AS3, and CS4. AS3 will run virtually identical between CS3 and CS4 unless you're making heavy use of the new vector class

or rather, it is, but it's nothing to even think about as they're not intending on even the next flash player using it, so it's 'atleast' 2 years away

The prices on ebay were about the same, but I found CS4 for a lower price then CS3. Pretty ironic, actually

Before Flash 5 or something, there was no AS. It started as a drawing program, then animation came in, then AS.

yes theres loads of features linked to CS4, but i think its about raw AS. but we are coming off the point that in what flash you can make games in. you might be able to early versions of flash for free and make small, simple games with it. But the list is there...
