Printer Problem, please help

I have an Epson stylus DX4400 printer, and I wish to print an image only in black. I have, however, an empty colour cartridge. For this reason, the printer simply will not print the image. I have attempted setting the printer to 'black and white only' but it still will not print the image.

Does anyone have ANY and I mean ANY method of fixing this, to just print my image in black and white?

epson printers will only print with over 5% ink in each catrigde. Theres nothing you can do but buy a new one
