Welcome to the Espionage Collab, where you are invited to make a piece about spies. It will be set to the Mission Impossible theme tune.

Specs:
Stage: 550 x 370
24fps
BG Colour: White (Make your own)

Rules:
As it is set to music, no sounds or dialogue.
No sticks, sprites, clocks, etc. etc.
Files must be compatible with Flash 8.
No Actionscript
Do not put in your name. I'll do it later.
Place your movie in a single MovieClip on the timeline
Put the first 3 letters of your NG username before all symbols you use. If I had a symbol of a head, I would call it ins_head
You can take as many parts as you want, but make sure you finish one, and I have accepted it before you claim the next.

You are allowed to use three colours. These must be black, white, and another colour of your choice. However, with this third colour, you can use the whole range of tone in the 'Color' panel.

This isn't really a rule, but try to make your flash sync with the music. This will make it a better viewing experience.

Who can join:
You must have at least one flash from the last 6 months that is over 3.00. Collabs are accepted in this, but you must be co-authored. Nobody else will be accepted.
You must also visit Newgrounds at leeast once every 3 days. I don't want to have wait ages to get a vital response from you.

How to join:
Post in this thread, giving the following:

-A link to a flash from the last 6 months over 3.00
-A link to a recent piece of artwork of yours.
-What part you want (see below)
-A few ideas of what you plan to do.

Failure to provide all of this will mean you cannot participate.

Sending in your part:
You can upload the FLA and SWF to SpamTheWeb and either PM me the link or post it in this thread. If the file is too big for STW, upload it to MediaFire. Don't bother asking for my e-mail, I'll just direct you to my previous instructions.

This is an unreasonable standard. If the person can prove that they have some quality in their animation, shouldn't that be enough?

I don't think many people have time to visit NG daily, let alone weekly. Should be about 5 days to a week.

Sounds like a great collab, but with the standards you put up, I don't think many will be attracted to work on this :S

Other than that sounds like a great idea!

Well, in a way. Obviously, the quality of animation must be good, but this rule also filters out those who don't finish something they have agreed to do. If you can't finish a short flash movie, how can I know you're going to finish this collab piece?

Well, in theory, you do. Your flash was submitted in March, and its score is 3.86. It is however, a tutorial, and does not showcase your animation talent. The art shown on your profile looks promising. Could you send me a link to even a tiny bit of animation you've done?

i want to try to do just a cool looking fbf fight scene as best i can...or maybe something having to do with the masks that they have in mi2 and 3.

I would do fbf, about spies.
I would make shades and all that, and use a little bit the flash effects.

I've got an idea for my flash and i'm doing it right now.
This will be awesome.

I don't have a single submission, let alone a 3.00... But I really like the idea and I already have a plan for a scene. So... When I finish the animation, can I send it to you, so you may evaluate it or will you just ignore my PM? :D

Remember you can only use 3 colours. D:

To be honest, I'd like any kind of spy, except ninjas. They're just too common. However, if you feel you can make it work, go ahead :)

Good, but remember that you can only use the music provided, so this alarm will have to be silent :S

Also, don't forget the colour scheme. I don't know how it'll work with your style, but I'm sure you'll pull it off :)

Umm, yeah, I've already started shading one of the characters and the one in the picture is getting its shading tomorrow.
I can send you a short lip sync right now, 'cause right now I'm in the preparation stages. Making sure I have all the characters, finalizing the script (not AS, the story :D) and learning animation. Right now I'm also working for a running animation, which I was thinking of submitting in this collab (it wouldn't just be a running animation, there would also be sneaking and maybe, MAYBE lasers) cause it goes well with part 13. I can't send the lip sync to you now, I'll only get to the computer I'm keeping it on in the morning. (I'm in Latvia and the morning is like 12 hours away.)

I can send you the animation, but it appears I won't be taking part in this collab. I've ran into a major obstacle. I suck at drawing bodies. I'm learning that now, but I doubt I'll be able to master it well enough to make the deadline.

Well, I looked at your part in STWPT, and I really enjoyed it. However, that was sort of old. Could you link me to a recent piece of art or animation that you've done?

Hmm, I was in Mexfry's The Pixelmas Collab a couple of months back, but I wasn't co-authored due to the large number of participants. Other than that, I got nothing. This is why I'm offering to prove myself with a solo submission within the next week.

I really don't know why he didn't get coauthored, but hey he's a pretty decent animator and I'd definitelyy suggest having him on the team. :)
