Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum. I know I waited A FULL MONTH before starting this next competition... well I was busy! And by busy I mean I was banned. So anyway, here it is boys and girls!
___THE THIRD MONTHLY VOICE ACTING CONTEST ___
IF YOUR AUDIO CLIP DOES NOT CONTAIN THESE GUIDELINES, YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED! SO READ ON!
In this contest you will need to record your own story using at least three different voices and it must be about someone or something with a mental or physical disorder. It can be funny or sad. At the end, say the word TURTLES. Why? Well why not.
So This time the prizes will be like so:
1st: 40$ in store Credit + Juicy Front Page
2nd: 30$ in store Credit + Delicious Front Page
3rd: 20$ in store Credit + Delectable Front Page
4th: 00$ in store Credit + FishyMcFaggot Front Page
And now onto THE RULES of this months competition!
In the past I havent gone over every nook and cranny so many people asked such questions like, "CAN I USE SOMEONE ELSES VOICE?" Well lets start of by stating that rule. NO YOU CANT USE SOMEONE ELSES VOICE. This is a voice acting contest where you use YOUR own voices! Now, you may try to sound like another commonly known voice like Harry Potter, but you may not grab a sound clip of him saying some spell. You say it yourself! So lets go over some rules...
-Use at least 3 different voices.
-Use your own story and try to be original.
-Say the word "Turtle" or "Turtles" at the very end of your clip.
-Make your story about someone or something with a mental/physical disorder.
-You may use pre-set background noises such as music and sound effects.
-You may NOT use ANY amplifiers or sound modifiers!
-You may use a sound equalizer *for getting rid of white noise and such*
-You may be inappropriate.
-You may use any microphone.
Each entry will be judged like so:
Acting - The most important of all, YOUR ACTING! Your voice acting needs to sound like the charecter is actually in his or her situation. Try not to be monotone and dull. - 35 points
Fit - How well each charecters voice fit with their being. *An old man would have a raspy voice and a big guy would have a deep voice. e.t.c.* - 25 points
Originality - How original your story was. Be creative! - 15 points
Range - How well each character sounds different from eachother - 15 points
Mixing- Not all of us can afford a good mic, but please try to make your final production as high quality as possible! If your voice is fuzzy and staticy, the judges cant judge your voice as well. - 10
All of the judges will give you a score out of 100, based on this judging process. Then I will average the score salong with mine and review your submission with a summary of what each judge said.
WELL THATS IT! So now go record your story about a thing or person with a physical or mental disorder using AT LEAST 3 different sounding characters! *the more well done characters the better we look on your submission* The only thing we need now is judges!
