I...Impossible! I got the game for 5 bucks, and I still don't think its worth it. If you are going to try to resurrect this dead game, then at least try to make them game fit the back, with police chasing you, or else it won't be called Big Rigs.

Whatever. Good luck. You're going to need it. Gratz on putting music. XD
This is awesome. I hope you do manage to release this - if you're going to rebuild the engine and the rest, why bother with giving the company credit? Perhaps you could get in touch with them and see where rebuilding their game to make it playable leads you? It definitely looks a hell of a lot better than it did.
Here's a new car that will (Hopefully if I can rig it correctly) be in the game. A Lancia Delta HF Integrale.
And I managed to decompile the engine in C++ and got a bit of the physics working, still a bit buggy but the vehicles aren't glued to the ground anymore so to say.
Y'know, it just hit me - why the hell are you making ordinary cars for Big Rigs? I mean - the game is called Big Rigs, as in, you know, actual rigs.
Working on a new city level, the police roadblock is an indicator that you can't go that way (You gotta take the turn you see there) But it's also like a police roadblock (SEXY)
Anyways needs textures, for the time being it looks like Mirrors Edge.

I've wondered the same thing, I guess I'm kind of making a new game (or a mod of big rigs) on the big rigs engine, but with major improvements to the engine itself.
Hi! I just registrated to tell u, theres a game called Rigs of Rods, that uses the same open source engine called Ogre (if im right), and it loggs good with physics, good graphics, damage model and stuff, and it was made by one guy, so u could ask him for help if hes still alive.
I wanna know if you've finished, 'cause it has no news by more than one year about your work.
Yes, I'm also interested, what happens with the project?
To all who follow this thread, the project is gone. Kogey told me his old computers that held the file is dead. Don't believe me? mmmmmmKay
Well i will TRY to contact Rigs of Rods Creator and let's see what he say.
I just remembered this thread and decided to check it out, to see what had come of the project.
Now I'm all depressed...

Screenshot looks great though
Right click link and then click open in tab there and by the way dude the video is still broken
Hey dude can you make this a full on game since I dont have this game because well it sucked
Nope not touching this game again nope
Burn in hell Big Rigs
Fixed the speedometer - the texture was the easy part :D
For the position, color and format of the strings I had to change the EXE.
It's actually quite nice that you've put more effort into fixing this broken game than the original creators.
I always felt like this game was a historical artifact. Something for people to look at a thousand years from now and say, "Wow, as a human race, lets never make a mistake like that again."
I wish you the best of luck.
"It's called consolidation; strengthen governments and corporations, weaken individuals."
So you spruced up the graphics a little. Nothing against what you're doing but I'm a little disappointed at how little you had done despite having put up a video on it. If the physics patch or AI had been added I'd be hooked, but it's too easy for someone to do the Kickstarter or Greenlight thing and just make bad promises.
If I offer to help you in a post, PM me to get it. I often forget to revisit threads.

Honestly to fix Big Rigs is to make an entirely new game.
But, I don't want Big Rigs to ever be fixed. In what other game can I drive a truck faster than the speed of light in fucking REVERSE?

A little project? That game needs some real tuning up.
