As an aspiring rapper/producer, I think its unfair how newgrounds treats rap. I think you guys just judge it by its commercial crap. You need to actually listen to some of the underground rappers before judging it. The shit you see on MTV and the radio is almost complete bullshit only about money/drugs/etc, but if you take a second to listen to the lesser known rappers like Lil Wayne, Eminem, and of course myself you will realize that rap is more than just talking over a crappy beat. Just saying, the lesser known rappers are truely the more lyrical.
Any thoughts?

While I agree Eminem has some pop songs that are completely commercialized, like "Infinite" and "Renegade", you'll agree that alot of his best hits are underground, like "Without me" and "We Made you".

I don't have anything against the rappers on NG and some of the better ones irl, but if read aloud a nursery rhyme with hiphop in the background I would be singing main stream rap. So fuck radio rap.
