Ps3 Or 360?

I'm trying to decide whether I should get a 360 or PS3, I have enough money for either but can't decide.

So if you had no consoles at all, and could decide only between a PS3 or Xbox 360, what would you pick and WHY?

360 has better games eg Gears of War, Halo 3 plus castle crashers. Its also cheaper than ps3 and made by a us company so ur helping the us economy if you get one plus Ps3 is japanese so youd be supporting the Fascist Japanesse Economy.

It really completely depends on what your tastes are

360 highlights;

Gears of War
Left 4 Dead
GTAIV (Episodes)
Halo (I suppose, although I despise it myself)
Forza 2
Fallout 3 (DLC, although this will be with PS3 late)

PS3 highlights;

MGS4
inFamous
Killzone 2
Resistance 2
LittleBigPlanet
Ratchet & Clank (I love them, I don't care what reviews they get)
Better versions of previously 360 exclusive games like Eternal Sonata

It all depends on what you prefer, so far the 360 has been the better platform. But to be completely honest I can see my 360 slowly becoming dormant in favour of my PS3

I have both, and I've noticed about the games; The 360 games are mostly FPS and fighting games, the few that aren't are either board games in a videgoame format or RPGS. The Ps3 games are expensive but they're way too short. The only game that's really worth it's price is LittleBigPlanet. I'd suggest you get the 360.

Don't forget, this year Left 4 Dead 2 will be out for the 360, and so will MGS Rising.

I personally would gte either, I only chose the 360 because more of my friends had one and I enjoy gaming with my friends more

Like everyone else said, it's preference. Xbox is also cheaper at start but with the price of XBL, it passes PS3 in cost rather quickly. There is also the whole red ring problem but that isn't a huge deal, they don't charge you to fix it initially.

I personally dislike PS3 exclusives, there hasn't been a single one that wow'd me. At the same time, I'm not really impressed with 360's exclusives either... most of my favorite games are multi-platform.

I say get what your friends have, provided you have friends. With all the online capabilities both consoles have, it makes it enjoyable to play with your friends.

i have both consoles, and i got to tell all of you: PS3 is better than the xbox!

Why?
Here's why:
-ps3 has a bunch of exclusives, like inFamous
-ps3 has 8 graphical cells, the 360 only two
-a ps3 can go online on your tv, it's kinda like a pc once you've got Linux installed.
-a ps3 has 80gb, 60gb, or 40gb. the xbox only has ten
-ps3 has a growing online community not only with games, but also in Folding@Home and Home
-and (keep this one in mind): ps3 provides free online gaming! if you have an xbox, you have to pay for going online!!!

Get the xbox360 it has way better exclusives.Most of the ps3's exclusives suck and are overrated..Like killzone 2 had the worst graphics imo and it sucked,infamous was too short and sucked,uncharted was too short,little big planet are childish,ratchet and clank had sucky graphics,resistance 1 and 2 were boring,ect..

But 360 has awesome games like halo 3 and gears which have alot of hours of fun!!

The 360 seems to have crappier version exclusives. The only game I have left for it is DMC4, which is multi platform and pretty boring.

The PS3 has R&C and MGS, and free online gaming.
