This tutorial has the absolute perfect random blood splatter effect I wish to use on my upcoming game... however I am having trouble with it. In the tutorial it tells you how to make the blood appear where you click within the parameters of the container... I just want to be able to whack the script onto a frame and when the movie hits that frame it attached as coordinates 50,100 or 75,100 or whatever (coordinates don't matter right now).

Can somebody lend a helping hand please? I spent a lot of time last night experimenting, thinking I was close, only to find I wasn't at all =[

cant you change this:

doSplatter(container_mc, _xmouse, _ymouse, numberOfSplatterParticles, splatterDistance, splatterIntensity, splatterSize);

and change the _xmouse, _ymouse to the place you want it?

yeah that works great but it still has to be within the container MC onstage... how do i change that? I want it to be able to be anywhere, not just within the containermc

cant you make the container mc the size of every thing? or just remove the value of container mc?
