Smartest Forum?

Hey NG, I have a little poll for you guys. In order from Greatest to Least, name the smartest forum.
For example:
Politics
WIHT
Art
Programming
Flash
General
Audio
VG

So this basically means, I think the Politics Forum is the smartest of the 8 forums, and the VG Forums is the dumbest.

I'd also side with the Politics forum. They hold real conversations about more important topics, and go much deeper into discussion then we do, here on the friendly General forum.

But saying there's an equal amount of inane posts among all the forums, or even close, is being quite inaccurate. And even if there was, it doesn't result in all the forums having the same number of intelligent posts. There aren't as many intellectual discussions here as there are in the Politics Forum.

Anyway, I don't think I have experienced all of the forums enough to judge which one is superior, but Politics, due to the nature of it, comes off on the top. Then IMO I'd say that Wi/Ht has minimal idiocy, landing a second place. General may be at the bottom because it is the home of anything, so most of the trolls and whatnot come here to rejoice.

Clearly, you've never been to the Politics forum.

Over there, you're a bit of an outcast if you DON'T create an extremely lengthy and self-aggrandizing manifesto every time you hit the post button. Views are so entrenched, passions are so inflamed, sources fly like snowflakes in a Canadian midwinter, and people are generally so uptight and unflinching in their views that they won't hesitate to engage you on every single point of a post you make for twenty or more pages, over the course of many months, if necessary, to prove their point.

It can get quite heated if two well-sourced and eloquent users have differing opinions on something even as simple as gun control. I watched a debate between cellardoor6 and D2KVirus on just that subject go on for months last year, with no clear victor.

If you don't at least make an attempt to mount a reasonable defense of your worldviews, you will be thoroughly lambasted. I think the Politics forum wins the "Smartest" title by a long-shot.
