I don't see what the big fuss is about. I rarely see "/thread" anywhere. When I do see it, the person gets flamed for being an idiot. Is it disliked because the person assumes they are the thread killer, or because it is backseat modding?

A good chunk of it is agreement and praise, which is indicative of the need for the "rule." If even 33% of the responders are like "finallllly" then it's usually a sign that whatever just got banned was annoying a shitload of people.
